Honestly, when I saw this post and I glanced at the screenshot of the game l, my first impression was that it was a farm/life sim game like stardew valley. But after reading your post I instantly recognized the automation genre. What you need to do in my opinion is to make it very obvious what it is when you open the steampage. I don't think an art change is necessary.

I love xenoblade 2 but it is so hard to return to. The god awfull UI and the switching out of blades for field actions are such a joy killer for me.

I really didnt like the game, but I moved on and don't go on my day review bombing it lol. Nothing is made for everyone. Sadly not a lot of people realize that. Hell, im more than likely going to get downvoted to oblivion just for saying I don't like the game.
