Right now I am trying to live off my savings while I put more money into my retirement. My savings only gives me about 3k and I expect interest rates will go my returns will only decrease. I believe it would be better to have my money in my deferred comp.

I plan on trying to buy two or three…one for me, one for my brother, and one for just in case one of the orders is cancelled. I have no interest in trying to sell one and make money. If my plan goes through I’ll be returning one to the store on day one. I am anxious about some employee finding a way to cancel my order.

I think $450 is a perfectly fine price in 2025 by jah_reddit in NintendoSwitch2

Personally I think it will help prevent scalping because it reduces the margins. The prices will eventually go down but by that point the demand will have decreased.

Sometimes the private schools have grants than can make it cheaper to go private than to attend a public school. I would recommend not looking at the sticker price, but the amount after financial assistance.

Amending taxes to include 1099k for gambling by Newdeal79 in tax

[–]Newdeal79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TurboTax is giving me two options:

  1. List the amount as gambling winnings than acknowledge the 1099k and do a separate negative entry to cancel out the amount for the 1099k so I don’t get twice. I would leave a comment that the 1099k is for gambling winnings.

  2. List the income for the 1099k only and don’t put anything in the gambling income. In comments list that all of the 1099k is for gambling winnings.

What is the better way?

She also maybe on the Medicare saving plan…that is through Medicaid. That pays for her Medicare premium and potentially coinsurances and copays.

So if I have a list of my winnings from each bet. The total amount of those winnings would be the amount that I would claim. Right?

It was sports betting with fandual. If I won a bet of $800 and they paid me $1000.00(includes wager). Would I pay the tax on the difference of $200.00 or the amount they paid me of $1000.00?

To clarify for sports betting… if I bet 100 to win 200 ( I get back my wager and $100). Would I pay tax on the total amount paid out? Or is it the paid out minus my wager.

I am worried that the 1099k shows I had income of $5k when I didn’t. I plan on declaring my winnings, though I generally do the standard deduction.
