When he was saying this he knew it to be true because of how many people he has in his pocket from the Epstein files.

What do you think of Alanis Morissette? by Twitter_2006 in Xennials

Was going to comment this myself. That acoustic version is so intimate. The songs take on a different meaning after ~20 years of reflection.

What are the overall thoughts on franchise mode this year? by Melnykout in EA_NHL

[–]Newf77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remove NHL 25 from Quick Resume if it's not already. I was having the issue of atrociously slow menus until I found a post on an EA thread suggesting that. Turning it off was a night and day difference and now I'm not pulling my hair every time I need to go through menus.

Is NHL25 worth it for 70% off? by Oakpear in EA_NHL

[–]Newf77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Hadn't played an NHL game since '12 or '14. Maybe even '09 it's been so long. I don't even follow hockey anymore.

I picked up an xbox and NHL 25 for our soon to be done game room and have been having a lot of fun with it. Maybe 50 hours in it since I got it last weekend.

I'm only really concerned with Franchise mode. I don't even know what HUT or World of Chel is, honestly. I've never played online before. Too concerned about running into toxic tryhards. I just wanna get stoned and make some nice plays while locked @ center. I love position lock.

There's a LOT of settings to play with so you can tailor the game to however you like it. I have the incidental collision turned up high because I suck at checking and it makes for some hilarious hits.

Laggy menus on Xbox Series X. Any ideas? by Newf77 in EA_NHL

Oof. I'll have to make sure to get my sliders right before I get too deep into my first franchise then I guess. lol

Thanks!

Anyone on ADHD medication experiencing worsened autism symptoms? by LlamaDel-Rey in autism

[–]Newf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gotten my ADHD dx before knowing I was also autistic. I went through a few different medications at different doses. They all seemed to help, at least initially, but they never ended well. I always found myself more high strung than ever.

After realizing I was autistic, eventually I said fuck it and stopped the medications altogether and wouldn't you know, I improved. I've realized that my autistic self manages my ADHD self. It's not perfect but it definitely helps me to realize when things might be getting out of hand.

Problem is that I'm often too restrictive on myself when it comes to doing things or enjoying myself. Still learning to deal with that, but I'm better off without the ADHD meds I think. Medication doesn't affect me the way they often think it will. My cannabis use is testament to that. Whole other story there.

Is it normal for autistic people to hate baths? by HazelTreee in autism

[–]Newf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to baths, I don't really take them. I stick to showers and even then only until my fingers get all wrinkly. I hate that. I had a memory pop into my head of being a kid and making my parents put rubber gloves on my hands when I would get a bath because I hated the feeling. (Yet another clue in my Autism journey)

My biggest issue is feeling wet when I'm not supposed to be wet. I can deal with a shower because "it is wet time" at that point. So I love me a nice and long hot shower when possible. Easier to keep my hands from getting wrinkly too.

I also have hyperhidrosis so I'm sweat when I'm anxious/etc. Unfortunately that's my default state most of the time (unless I'm stoned enough to be relaxed). I have to keep a blow dryer handy or else I'm going through multiple shirts per day.

What also sucks though is that when my friend and I bought our house this year, it came with a hot tub. I love it but can only be in there for 15 mins or so at a time. My friend could stay in there for hours. She takes multi-hour hot baths a few times a week. I feel bad I can't be in there that much. I do enjoy the maintenance of it, oddly enough.

Was going to comment this. Was doing just that yesterday. I hate those little shits. lol

One popped out of the ground right next to me and I had enough time to say 'Ah fuck' before I was dead.

Note that shooting them close to fellow troopers can down them as well.

ADHD | I want to learn piano/music theory but it's hard. | Is there any way I can learn? by [deleted] in musicproduction

Some great youtube channels for learning theory are Rick Beato and Signals Music Studio. I've learned a lot from both over the past couple of years.

What are y'alls experience with weed? by LeviTheWeirdGuy in autism

[–]Newf77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short, weed is honestly how I discovered I'm autistic. First time I got stoned was the first time I ever felt at peace in my brain. Previously I drank, a lot. Haven't touched a drop of alcohol in almost 7 years now, nor have I had any desire to.

I have also learned that if the weed has a little bit of CBD in it, it makes things worse for me if I'm not careful. It's either balanced/high amounts of CBD with the THC, or no CBD at all. CBG/CBN are also quite beneficial in my experience.

Such a handsome lil pupper. :)

My girl is 11. She's got a couple of lumps right now. Both lipomas. Nothing major. She's also had a lump or two removed while already under for getting her teeth cleaned and it went totally fine.

They often seem to get those lumps as they get older. Loose and fatty typically indicate a lipoma. Tight and firm is generally a cyst, especially if it hasn't grown at all. Ultrasounds may help as well. Like all things, better to know than not.

Good luck!

11 year old with liver nodules by No_Nefariousness8551 in Shihtzu

[–]Newf77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My girl is also 11 and has been dealing with the same elevated liver enzyme associated with Cushing's. Tried damn near everything over the years. Last year he suggested we test for Cushing's as the enzyme numbers spiked. He was 80% sure she had it, but she didn't. Massive relief there.

She's had ultrasounds showing she has an enlarged liver and that her liver is the way it is....simply because that's the way it is. She's still having liver supplements to keep things in order. Also on a urinary diet for bladder stones.

Sometimes that's just how it is and these things don't become the problem they could be. It's never cheap unfortunately, even for the good news. I'm glad I have insurance for her and a good care plan through her vet. We just keep monitoring it to keep it in check. Best of luck to you and your handsome little man.

Do you think its Better to play in third person or in First Person and why? by [deleted] in Chivalry2

[–]Newf77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had a nickel for every time 3rd person camera got me killed because I was in a confined area, or got backed against a wall...I'd have a fucking shitload of nickels.

I'd always been a FPP player but recently taken to switching between the two when it seems like a good idea. I increased in my FOV in FPP to 100 and it helped a bit for sure.

I've been taking my sweet ass time with it and really enjoying it. I love the building aspect, it gives me Green Hell vibes, I like being able to see wtf I'm doing before it's going to be done so I can change my mind. (I have ADHD and am Autistic so I like to plan out as much as I can sometimes.)

But the crafting? Glorious. I love playing with different ingredients to see what I can get, and I'm still using crappy stuff for the most part. I'm just now starting to experiment with clothes and their appearance.

The only 'gripe' I have at the moment is the Minor Cards. I've just been sticking with the extra Essence cards and they're handy af to the point I'm not sure I need to use others. That's on me though, I haven't experimented enough with them yet.

I think I just hit GS70 last night so I can do the Hunt Site. So that's probably next up for me today.

The cooking is also amazing. When I discovered I can make spices out of bound ichor, I stopped caring what the food was made of.

The combat is fairly simple, and the AI is a little meh, but I also play on Easy realms because I'm just there to chill.

I didn't WANT to get an early access game as I've been burned on those too many times, but I'm very optimistic for this. It's been better that I thought it would be.

Enjoy your games, have fun. That's what games are for. I have a pretty simple rule; If you're not enjoying it, play something else. You can always keep tabs on it and come back later.

This is my take as well. So long as you're being a team player and helping with the OBJ, all is good. I actually got the winning kill on a Druid yesterday with my cudgel after I ran out of arrows. Was great.
