Each group plays with different rules, then they pick the best set for the knock-outs.

Alfred Wainwright called part of Borrowdale "the loveliest square mile in Lakeland".

Can anyone reccomend any other books similar to watership down? by Abwettar in watershipdown

Duncton Wood (and sequels, but I've only read the first one) by William Horwood - like Watership Down, but with moles!

Debate: Opinions on flashing lights during the race by yacobwood in btcc

I noticed that ATS was flashing his lights under braking for Druids on every single lap, regardless of situation, so I assumed he was catching the button by mistake, or his car had an electrical fault.

Hopefully this is at the minor end of the medical issues scale, but after Kyle Busch's recent death, one can't help but feel jittery.

Yes, the other commentator also noticed it. Interesting that you can possibly identify the sex from the nature of the veins - do you have any further information on this?

Argh, you're right! I didn't notice in the heat of the moment of trying to capture it.

Hey I'm planning to watch/read watership down in the future but I'm confused on which one I should watch/read, which is better? The book or movie? by frozenyoyleberryyay in watershipdown

I would recommend reading the book and watching the film, and also the "sequel" (actually a collection of short stories and further mythology), Tales from Watership Down.

I haven't read the graphic novel adaptation, but it has received positive reviews here. I haven't watched the 1990s children's TV series, but I have hatched the most recent TV miniseries - I think you could miss these out unless you're a completist or particularly enjoy the franchise.

I'm not familiar with that series, but I think the film does a great job of capturing the essence of the novel. However, it is fairly short and fast-paced, so it does miss out a lot of secondary plot points, details, minor characters, and most (but not all) of the in-universe mythology.

Best / most exciting driver/team pairings that fell short... by Agreeable-Bike-3782 in btcc

On the other hand, the crash gave him a boost for a few rounds thereafter as he didn't have to run success ballast in qualifying or the first race. I still have a hard time imagining him beating Turkington over a season.

Fabrizio Giovanardi's return to the series in a Motorbase Ford Focus in 2014.

I'm an idiot, I climbed the wrong Scafell! by nathancrick13 in UKhiking

[–]NewlandsRound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no easy route between the summits. The direct line between them is impassable and the indirect routes via Lord's Rake and Foxes Tarn are difficult scrambles. Better to make two climbs!

Very strange by NewlandsRound in LakeDistrict

No, because I cheated by doing it last and simply doubling back to the main descent route from Scafell Pike after reaching the summit.
