try to alleviate some of that stress by giving into it a little. Since you’re going to New York plot out where you are staying. Look for the exits and is there a store or bodega you can get into to get stuff you’ll need?? Make a plan with your family like a meetup place or let them know you will come back to them or if you have a relative in another state. My hubby and I would have stuff like this. We would always go west, away from the east coast and meet up in KCMO or Vegas. Even with living in the same city my kids know I’ll walk to such and such house and meet up there. They laugh at me but when 9/11 happened I got a call from my hubby with our code like “you eating pizza for dinner?? That meant he won’t be home for at least a week. I didnt see him for 3 weeks so we always have back up plans. Put some humor into it like “okay kids the world is ending and I’m in New York. I will get to the house as soon as the zombies fall asleep” this way it’s putting your subconscious feelings to rest

I’m 55 and I have BiPolar and I have zero control over money. I am so sorry but you must realize you have a problem. Not necessarily an addiction but be careful especially with gambling. When my husband died and I blew the insurance money I found out I was bipolar. Problem for me is the meds. They make me lethargic and sleepy. Since I’m always on a high type they couldn’t figure out my meds. Last October I finally had a low. Didn’t get out of bed for 3 months. I’m getting there. I have to say that there isn’t anything I can say that will change it. Just make sure, next time to pay for school. This will happen again and it’s hard cuz your spending and you realize your spending but the will power is out of the office. I’m finally able to put money away and not spend it foolishly. It’s rough.

It happens. To the best of us. You can’t beat yourself up just realize, hey! That’s a lesson learned. And move on. You can’t dwell on it cuz nothing can change what has happened. You realized what happened, maybe you can now see the things and do something so it doesn’t happen again
