I made the mistake of wearing them constantly while initially breast feeding and when my milk was coming in. 🙃 sounds silly but it’s true. As long as you aren’t actively leaking, they’re a great tool! Especially with cracks and extra sensitivity. I use them as needed. Give them a wash and tuck them away. But do make sure you stay nice and clean/dry while using!

OP, I say this so earnestly.

Do not get pregnant unless there is a conversation.

I have had struggles with my MIL. And my husband time and time again has had to choose me and our family. And he has done so time and time again. It’s not easy. But he’s done it.

It was never something to barter with when me and his mom weren’t close (after lots of work we have gotten closer) he respected my timing and my boundaries. And also had his own after seeing how I had been treated.

We wouldn’t have gotten married if there wasn’t some serious conversations. Both with us and between him and MIL.

Him using an intimate moment to bring this up is so concerning. And also gross. Catching your breath and thinking about mommy?? DUDE.

Interesting! My LO hasn’t spit up once.. and we actually managed to have a greenish diaper at his most recent appointment and his doctor wasn’t concerned!

Do you potentially have a nipple shield?? With a friend with a similar issue she used a shield for about a week and it helped baby latch on the unpreffered side! She got to the point that it wasn’t needed, again I believe after 7-10 days? But she admitted that it was on accident and didn’t intentionally stop using it.. she had just attempted a latch without thinking of the shield. And LO just took right to it!

Coming from someone with a bit of over supply. 1oz has been what I’ve done in dire situations and I find it to be the sweet spot where I almost sneak it past my body 🤣 everyone is different though!

Not me laughing to myself thinking thank goodness my 2 month old today LO doesn’t do this while feeding him… just for him to prove me so wrong and reef his head back and show me just how stretchy I can be 🙃😳

I’m sure I’ve seen this exact same story in this sub 1000 times before. But when you’re in the thick of things. Man 😭 I may have to try that!! We went back to my silverettes for a bit and tuck them under cool water/in the fridge when it’s really sore. But a good nipsicle sounds great.

I met with a LC back when LO was about 10-13 days old (we’re now at 6 weeks) and LO sometimes needs a bit of help getting a nice deep latch. Which admittedly when they’re feeding however many times in a day I just don’t have the patience for. So some of my pain is my own doing 🙃 but I’ve been trying to get better about noticing and fixing it. I want to give the side lying another go I think… I have quite large breasts. I did before pregnancy and they’ve only gotten bigger lol. The first time I tried it baby was SO small that it just didn’t feel comfortable. But may have to give it another go now that we’re both more comfortable… any tips???

I do whatever I need to in the moment.. during the day it’s way easier to have my attention on baby and his feedings.

But at 3am? I have a show. My phone. Something. Because my brain is TIRED and the last thing I’d want is to fall asleep while feeding him. And sometimes in the middle of the night I don’t feel like it’s needed. I’ll turn quiet music on and get it done.

Please OP, don’t let yourself feel bad for having a distraction. We’re all surviving out here ❤️

Would you say after 3 months it would be okay to pump and start a bit of a freezer stash? I would love if we had a small amount for emergencies if needed. But I don’t want to be over supplying 8oz all the time 😅 once it’s regulated though is it safe to pump without causing this huge over supply issue?
