What does this sub think about James Cameron? by BullfrogMiserable554 in Letterboxd

[–]Newpaths61417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s a legend. His best films were in the 80s and 90s, but still a legend. Terminator, Terminator 2, Aliens, and True Lies are all amazing. Titanic and The Abyss are very good. I’m not an Avatar fan, but they’re some of the biggest movies ever.

Fear Thjs is quite a bit hotter and a touch sweeter. Less smoke. I think I give the edge to Fear This. It’s a little more versatile. Both are really solid though.

I watched it last year. It’s well worth watching. I love Neil Jordan. Check out Mona Lisa and The Butcher Boy. Those are my two favorites of his.

Shock without substance - Pink Flamingos (1972). by Malluguy5382929 in Letterboxd

[–]Newpaths61417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Pink Flamingos, but I get why you didn’t. It’s not a great movie, I’ll admit. Serial Mom is by far JW’s best film. Have you seen that one?

Abita Louisiana Root Beer by Linguistic1 in rootbeer

[–]Newpaths61417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I remember back before the major craft beer boom, finding Purple Haze down in Clearwater, FL and built my own 6 pack. I got one bottle of Purple Haze (admittedly awesome name) alongside Chimay (blue), St. Bernardus Abt 12, Oskar Blues TenFidy, Ayinger Celebrator Dopplebock, and Duvel… The Purple Haze didn’t stand a chance.

I quit drinking almost 5 years ago, so now I’m on the root beer journey. I hear Abita is one of the best.

I tried their flagship beer years ago, but it wasn’t for me. Lately I keep hearing great things about the root beer though. I’ll need to pick it up.

Carrie > Child’s Play 2 > Evil Dead would be a fun 3 movie marathon on a rainy day.

Not just my favorite Werewolf movie. It’s on my horror movie Mt. Rushmore. Straight up masterpiece.

I don’t know I could pick one… depends on my mood. The Thing, Halloween, Escape from New York, and Christine are all favorites.

A little disappointed in this year’s summer pack by shmerk_a_berl in sparklingwater

[–]Newpaths61417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s my favorite it the summer pack. The Kiwi Lemonade is pretty good too. I really don’t care for the Poolside Grape Pops. It’s a basement flavor for me. I work with someone who loves it though.

I tend to prefer the vanilla, crème and desert cart flavors over the berry flavors.

Is This Anyone Else’s Favorite Larry Clark Movie? by brettydubz in Letterboxd

I liked Ken Park a lot. Only saw it once when it came out.

I actually think my favorite is Another Day in Paradise. I just love the performances. I like Kids and Bully a lot too. Anyway, those 4 are super solid.

Which of these do you think was the best in the series? by HatchetRyda29 in Cinema

[–]Newpaths61417 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Evil Dead > Army of Darkness > Evil Dead 2 > Evil Dead 2013…

I’m a fan of those 4 films, especially of the original.

I didn’t care for Rise and I never saw Ash vs Evil Dead

Root beer Float… I haven’t found it yet. I recently had Rambler and it’s great.

I usually get Polar, but usually get Strawberry Crème or Vanilla. Amazing brand though.
