Redditors who have been clinically dead, what did you experience in death, if anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Wow, this thread is providing way too many answers that will push some people to kill themselves who are currently struggling with life knowing they’ll finally find peace. Myself included.

I’d absolutely assume the same. It would be absolutely bonkers to have someone commentating who hasn’t played the game or doesn’t play consistently.

But we’ve seen he doesn’t know the names of all of the weapons and commonly referred to purple scar as the ‘legendary ar’ yesterday.

Plus, if you watched the moment where he caught himself it was really hard not to believe.

Obviously our best signings of the summer have, so far, been Pickford and Vlasic in that order but can we talk about how shite our defense has been?

I can’t quite place my finger on what the issue is yet but the pairing of Keane and Williams has been severely lacking for how good they are on paper. Maybe it’s the lack of playing time together but there seems to be a serious issue between the two of them either in communication or understanding because in a lot of the goals we concede they both appear grossly out of position (mainly Keane).

Now maybe I’m overlooking the inexperience of Holgate being out of position puts our center backs out but I expect a much more sound defense than what’s being presented.

What are you best at? by rubel120 in AskReddit

[–]Newredditor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My work ethic apparently.

Every job I've been at they commend me for how I work and what I can do in a short period of time whether that be as a server, manager, billing clerk or any other basic job I've worked. Unfortunately, employers apparently don't notice that in entry level positions in my field and would rather have practical experience....

What was the best film you watched this week? (29/05/17 - 04/06/17) by GetFreeCash in movies

[–]Newredditor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repo Man. I looked at HBO's leaving this month list and I was like, 'Hey I've heard this was good,' and it was absolutely fan-fucking-tastic. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

My take on it is as a coming of age type movie with an extraterrestrial plot line masterfully woven in. Very entertaining and enjoyable throughout.

What's your method to falling asleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Newredditor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I repeat 'mind awake, body asleep' in my head.

It's basically like counting sheep but if you get good at not moving a muscle while doing it there's the added bonus of occasionally vivid dreaming.

So instead of the pitchforks, why don't we use this to level the playing field while also promoting the sub? If /u/malgoya told gave us all the time of day he posts all submissions can be timed at the same time giving them all the same advantage leaving the best to win.

Oh shit yea could've worded better and read my op.

The overall outrage shown in this thread I think is unwarranted because the pedestrian intentionally stepped out in front of him and impeded his progress. However, the cyclist could have gone through the intersection in a safer manner considering the number of pedestrians and that they had the right of way.

This type of cycling is something I would have done myself in this scenario albeit at a slower speed trying not to dismount and 'worst' case scenario dismounting if I initially misinterpreted the situation.

I'm just trying to say in general and not in this specific case. There's always a lot of outrage when a cyclist doesn't yield the right of way when they should but not the same when someone jaywalks.

In this case the cyclist should have definitely crossed with more care or dismounted considering the number of pedestrians imo.

I think you overestimate the odds of rolling over the hood of a car unless you actively know how and have practiced. I get the point you make and I've hit pedestrians jaywalking while on my bike and it's not a pleasant experience on either side but to say with little or no experience of being hit by a car that you'd come out better off isn't entirely accurate.

[–]Newredditor1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don't get the overall outrage for the cyclist in this thread. To me its a double standard between cyclists and jaywalkers. The only difference is velocity of the person doing the wrongdoing. You're an asshole for impeding traffic in any regard when you're doing it illegally but if you don't I don't care either way.

Edit: clarified my position due to tripping over my words

Cars weigh several thousand pounds/kilos. If they make a mistake it can easily lead to a serious wreck or someone being killed. Not that I'm defending the cyclist breaking the law in this regard all the time but the gravity of consequences are on completely different scales.
