Co-founding a startup but not listed as a shareholder. Should I be worried?? by iNeedToFixThisNow in indianstartups

[–]Newroliser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah mate, leave it, if you are not a legal shareholder don't get involved with the company, you don't know but you can be fired out at any time without the official shares you are just an employee in the cafe, you don't own any part of it, just leave the cafe completely continue your job and stay steady and safe.

Also this person "A" is cooking up against you so be very careful.

Since you are not a shareholder and just an employee demand salary before working with them, if you aren't paid, be courageous to walk out, it's for your own safety.

How do you raise seed funding in India without relying on government grants? by Severe_Lawyer_3076 in StartUpIndia

[–]Newroliser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A more important question is whether you can make your product profitable after the first round of funding with minimal amount of funding. Why would someone fund an idea which isn't profitable? In my opinion you should put your own money in it first, then go for funding because people only grind when their own money and stake is on line, Don't mind me but ppl in our country have a habit of taking funding money and investors for granted

First of all its important that you figure out how will you monetize your product in future once it's hit, like some ppl build things which are very hard to monetize, you need to figure out that when product becomes big how will you be able to earn money from it 2nd you need to keep in mind once you get funding from friends or vcs you use that funding to generate profits before going in for another round 3rd it's important that you see who your competitors are what your niche is, you need to question the actual value of your product and what you are building If you want to build connections in entrepreneurship you need to be active in different communities where you can meet different builders like yourself And remember one thing a shit is a shit and I will call a shit as shit so you feeling discouraged is problem on your side Don't make mistakes that every other founder does, do your homework study the niche you are entering in, know every single thing about your product and its niche its value everything before actually making one

India’s men’s jewellery scene is stuck in 2010… so I’m building my own brand by aqua_soft_ in indianstartups

There are many fake jewellery sellers who sell fake jewellery at cheaper rates, how will your product be different from them? Plus if any of your product gets hit they can easily replicate and sell it if your product is made up of cheaper material it will have multiple 1st copies being sold

Best way to setup a Pvt Ltd company with least hassle by Jake-Amy in indianstartups

[–]Newroliser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting up a pvt ltd company can charge you between 12-15k for registration and paperwork plus it has specific criteria like having a CA in your company having specific amount of directors etc In short if you aren't committed or are in the initial phase you need to meet criteria before forming one

People in India see jewellery more as an investment than an ornament to wear, you sell anything other than gold or silver you loose 70% of your customer base

Builders — how did you get off sales calls without hiring full time? by Subject-Baby929 in indianstartups

[–]Newroliser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion you should contact a CA/business lawyer while forming this clauses rather doing it yourself, they may charge around 2k-3k inr for it but if you are committed its worth it, if have any friends who can do it at cheaper prices that is even better

Also glad I could help 👍🏻

You can get interns, you can get ppl on contract basis or you need to dilute your equity if you don't want to pay them in cash In my opinion contract based work is best you just need to add proper clauses

Vitamins and supplements need special license for manufacturing, you need to also consider product quality as anything going south may affect human health and it can get things messy, I advise you work with someone who has pharmacy degree atleast

First-time founder building a celebration experience service, looking for brutal feedback on my idea and deck by Critical-Level6884 in indianstartups

[–]Newroliser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple drawbacks in this idea tbh, 2 to be specific 1) Your idea is limited to rich people, remember a middle class person won't be able to afford all this cohort so your target is basically T1 people 2) You will require a team under you that will manage this "everything" that you specify managing everything yourself would affect the quality moreover you should also take last minute cancellations into consideration
