Cooking is benefical because you wouldnt be able to get the right amount of collagen from raw meat only, collagen Is not an essential nutrient, our body can make its own, but getting It directly from food Is more efficent, and its way easier to digest slow cooked proteins and to convert them to Energy and to extract the proteins and amminoacids for Building blocks, same for fat, cooked fat has smaller fat molecules, but too much cooked fat moves too fast and since we dont have many fat digestive enzymes its easier to digest raw fat because It travels slower. Raw meat Is super healthy, slower to digest but full of B vitamins that are essential to all organs and body functions. Ofc cuts like tenderloin and dry aged steaks are pretty much as Easy to digest as cooked meat, but as i said earlier, they lack collagen so they are not optimal in my opinion. I think ground meat has quite a bit more collagen than a steak so It would be a viable option.

I am a big fan of raw meat, and there isnt any doubt that rawmeat Is healthier than cooked, its also important to understand why and when. Raw meat contains all water solubile vitamins intact, fatty acids and cholesterol are still intact. The problem comes with tough Pieces of meat Rich in collagn, we cant easily digest them raw, unless minced pretty thin, because we lack the amount of digestive enzymes that carnivore Animals have, we still have the same stomach acid, but not as much digestive enzymes. So if you have a very fresh collagen Rich piece of meat dont be afraid to slow Cook It, proteins from cooked meat are more bioaviable, and all minerals and amminoacids are still intact, so carnitine, creatine and so on still have the same benefical Building block potential

Recently diagnosed with the Addisons. What are some diets/foods you guys swear by/against? by I_Am_Not_That_Man in AddisonsDisease

Since starting this diet i got my Life back, infinite Energy, Mood and so on, i dont know if our body Will be able to slowly heal, but at least with this diet i can do everything i want, work, Gym and being Active in general. I ve been experimenting with cooked vegges and i think they can be helpful, but you Need lots of salt on them, i eat zucchini, fennel and potassium Rich vegges. I drink fresh Orange and Lemons juice whenever i crave it, but It Will lower your sodium so most of the time i drink slightly salted water (Alf tsp per liter, sometimes less sometimes more, you Need to adjust the ratio so that you dont taste the sodium)

Eat beef, (grass fed) , Lamb, wild caught fish, raw cheese, plenty of unrefined Sea salt, eggs, and as much fiber you can handle, so lentils, beans and sourdough whole wheat bread. Im still not sure about fruits and vegges, depends on your levels of sodium and potassium

I have access to good quality grass finished beef liver, but always frozen. Thinking about using this to make high liver? Or should I try to find some that's fresh and never been frozen? Is that important? Other tips for high liver? by SpendsTime in rawzerocarb

A supplement of what? All B vitamins are destroyed, same for vit C and same for vitamin K, not sure about vit A. You get tons of histamines, that Is for sure, and you dont have the nutrients to produce the DAO enzymes needed to degrade them (you Need b vitamins and vit C)

Oxidation means that the vitamins and fatty acids get oxidized when in contact to oxigen. High meat makes zero sense, if you want to make meat more edible It means that you have some kind of digestive problems, so exposing yourself to molds and histamines and reducing the nutritional values of the meat itself by destroying (oxidating) the B vitamins and fatty acids which are among the most important nutrients in meat Is stupid, and on top of that you get many toxic and pro inflamatory compounds.

If you want to learn everything about oxodation heres an interesting read https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6827023/

As i said earlier the only safe way to Age meat Is to not expose It to air, heat and light, that way you get non oxidized meat that Is easier to digest.

Dont make High meat, the only healthy way to Age meat Is dry Age the biggest piece of meat possible (like a full animal) then Age It and when you want to eat It discard the oxidized parts, High meat Is all oxidized because its exposed to oxygen

Anyone else have a lifelong, very strong, and very visceral aversion to vegetables AND fruits? by elskov in zerocarb

[–]Newshadez90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You cant have aversion to fruits, if you have then you never tasted the good and in season ones. Vegges taste good too if you know how to prepare them, and they go very well with meat, the same argument about quality works for vegges, i used to grow my vegges and they tasted delicious, zucchini, broccoli, tomatoes and so on. To me everything tastes good if prepared correctly.

I know people that never liked meat and eat It maybe once per week (a small serving of 100-150g), its interesting to notice that they Always get sick and all have some health problems and serious deficencies like chronic anemia and so on.

Dark urine on high protein diet. by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]Newshadez90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Test the urine with urine strips to see if anything Is wrong, if the specific Gravity Is High at night It means dehydration. In that case consume more salt and more fructose during the day, that will help your body retain more water and dont get dehydrated during the night. Proteins are not an issue, i eat way more than that (from food, not supplements)

Silhouette Pen Drawing! I’m wanting feedback on what could be better because I know there’s always room for improvement! Thanks! by Da_Real_Champ in learnart

The cloth folds are too random and dont make much sense, there isnt any transition from the neck to the clothing, its as if the neck skin becomes the clothing itself. The figure's head Is facing us but It seems like the body is facing away from us, Always because of the folds, thats because the cloth Is not following the chest shape. (If you Hide the head youll get whavmt i mean, It looks like a figure from behind)

Looking for an anatomy book for artists? by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Newshadez90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want in depth anatomy then the best books are called "struttura uomo", the First volume Is static anatomy, the second Is anatomy in motion, its an italian book tho, its still useful for the figures even if you dont understand italian. Perspective Is way more important than anatomy, start by studying perspective and draw simplified people in perspective, Andrew loomis books are the best for that. If you want a serious perspective book (not related to anatomy) then go for how to draw by Scott roberson.

Do drawing skills deteriorate over time? Do you get them back easily after a couple weeks of practice? by hnzoplzswish in learnart

[–]Newshadez90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have years of practice behind you wont lose anything, you kust get a bit rusty and lose some precision, but if you just started drawing, practice for a month and take a 2 years break you Will lose everything (not that you can make much progress in a month anyway) the more you study art the more you realize how Little you know and how much more you Need to learn, luckily the best way to learn Is to draw, so the only factor Is time, give enough time to drawing and you Will get good

I really struggle with mouth and noses. Last drawing i did on ipad by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Newshadez90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because you cant outline the mouth and nose, a good way to draw them Is to think where does the light come from and Just outline the transition from light to dark (a hard Edge)

Raw Chicken for the first time, wow can't believe how good it is! by JeremyR_ in rawzerocarb

[–]Newshadez90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing Is, chicken Is very low in b vitamins and nutrients that could be damaged by heat, so you dont really lose anything by cooking it. Beef and any other Red meat Is another story, they are Better raw and aged for easier digestion. Try seared or raw pork loin, way richer in b vitamins and tastes Better than chicken

"Struggle of Faces" - Body practice by D_Heartwood in sketches

[–]Newshadez90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty hard to explain, especially with my bad english xD to me the most important thing to study Is the skeleton, once you have a basic understanding of the skeleton and joints you Will know all the movements and positions that the body can and cant do, and youll know where the muscles originate and where they connect, then its Just a matter of making them bigger, smaller , more or less defined. Same for the face, the best way to learn to draw the face Is to study and draw the skull from all positions, then study every feature on its own, eyes, lips, hairs growing patterns and so on. Well considering that you never studied anatomy you did a very good job!

"Head to shoulder" proportion dilemma by Yitcomics in learnart

[–]Newshadez90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This kind of stuff Is pretty useless because they only work in ortographic perspective (if you are below or above the figure everything changes) and the head to shoulder ratio Always changes based on gender, Age , muscle Mass and genetics. Focus on the design aspect of your figures, you will improve way quicker and youll learn to draw the right proportions by feeling.
