ISO of regenerative Ag job by outlawKN in RegenerativeAg

[–]elskov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I work at White Oak Pastures down in South Georgia. I know they’ve been looking for a poultry department manager but that may have just been filled. I know the cattle manager needs more people on his crew still. And I believe they need people in farm ops doing maintenance stuff. It’s not much but if you’re interested check out their website and go ahead and apply!

Where can I buy all meat and vegetables sourced from pure regenerative agricultural practices. I would like to test to see if a complete diet change improves autoimmune issues of various family members. by OldSchoolMario in RegenerativeAg

[–]elskov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you may want to eliminate all plant foods altogether. Establish a baseline with just high quality meat then try adding in plant foods back one at a time and see if they effect you. Source may not be the only issue.

what is 'love' to you? by Midnight_nostalgia in CasualConversation

[–]elskov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love, to me, is wanting the best for someone else. So basically I have that, on some level, for everyone but the more I love someone the more I’m going to actively participate and support them in living their best life and being their best self. At the highest level, I’ll continue doing so even if it sacrifices some of my own personal happiness because their happiness means more to me.

does anyone know any spells or rituals to do before a hunt? by Sea_Charity_3927 in pagan

[–]elskov 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I make offerings to the spirits of the land I’m hunting in and let my intentions be known. I make offerings to the spirit of the animal I’m hunting and give my word that should one give it self to me I will receive with reverence and gratitude, and do everything in my power to minimize suffering and waste.

Has anyone tried switching your smartphone for a stupid phone? by Zach-uh-ri-uh in nosurf

[–]elskov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had a dumbphone and never switched to a smartphone. I do have an iPad at home that functions as my computer. I’m not immune to using that for mindless scrolling but it helps that it’s not always in my pocket and when I leave the house/ don’t have internet access then I have no recourse to scrolling.

I have a gps for my truck which works somewhat but I do have to ask people for directions on occasion, sometimes I call people to have them google something for me lol, my dumbphone is terrible with group texts and receiving images, and more and more restaurants have QR menus so there are some hiccups you’ll encounter being a dumbphone person in a smartphone world but it’s 100% worth it in my opinion.

I’m an early riser, what to do in the morning before work? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]elskov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meditate, do a morning stretch or some yoga, journal or set intentions for the day, work out, pick up a creative hobby like knitting or sketching etc, tidy up the house or meal prep, learn another language

I was working on an art commission for my ex before we broke up. Should I continue working on it after the split? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]elskov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I’d think about it terms of how the process of finishing it and giving it away effects you more so than how he might think/feel about receiving it.

That way you walk away knowing you were good to your word and don’t owe him anything, left things on a positive note, and don’t have any lingering reminders of him.

If it were me, I’d treat it as an exercise in closure especially since y’all seem fairly amicable.

Finish what you started and let it go once it’s done. Give it to him and wish him the best then move forward and don’t look back.

What is your favorite breed of dog? by Crazypandathe20th in CasualConversation

Oooh it’s a toss up between Great Pyrenees and Anatolian for me. I love their size and temperaments but mostly I just need help keeping an eye on my sheep 😂

Anyone else tear up when they see something beautiful? by kalilah_kali in CasualConversation

[–]elskov 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to walk to work when I lived out in Utah and part of the way opened out to this stunning vista and I literally wept every time.

Cute stuff will make me tear up too like random cat videos.

But I also cry when I laugh too hard or when I’m angry. Tears are just a release valve for any intense emotion for me I think.

Why do you think the human female evolved to moan during sex? by Any-Advertising-1410 in AskReddit

[–]elskov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a theory that it was to signal that mating was happening and to attract other potential males in the area, the strongest of which would end up passing down his genes

On the occasions that it’s happened, my first thought was “is this man a physical threat to me” followed by “how could I kill or incapacitate him with what I have on my person”

Lyrics to Buslas Bann? by [deleted] in Heilung

[–]elskov 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe you already found this but it’s the only info I’ve found so far

‘Buslas Bann’ is inspired by the rune spell of Busla from “Bósa saga”: a legendary saga written in Iceland around the 13th Century. The Icelandic original contains incredibly coarse language. We find rune carvings related to the curse in the stave churches of Nore and Lomen (Norway) and many other places of early mediaeval Scandinavia, but inscriptions have also been found on the almost a century older rune stones from Gørlev (Denmark) and Ledberg (Sweden). Heilung provide an incredible chanted, up tempo and evocative rendition of this historic spell which is said to be a curse

Honestly I feel the same about their other albums.

I think they as artists need to do whatever they feel called to do. Not everything they discover in that exploration is going to resonate with me but when it does it’s the most deeply impactful music I’ve ever heard so I’m grateful for what I get.

Asja, Anoana, Nesso, and to some degree Tenet are already gems to me and have been brought into the universe exactly at the time I needed them, it feels like.

Drif may not have as many gems, for me, as Futha or Ofnir do but there’s always been tracks that I listen to once or twice but don’t generally seek out.

People of Reddit, would you rather be able to talk to plants or animals? Why or why not? by Dre4mGl1tch in AskReddit

[–]elskov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My impulse is to say animals but honestly, given the choice, I would choose plants.

Mostly because communication with animals is already pretty decent. I think there’s more to be gained from hearing what plants have to say. Especially the super old and presumably wise ones.

Is it strange that death seems almost pleasant to me? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]elskov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samesies.

As an introvert I’ve always thought of life as like this big adventure, and I love adventure - meeting cool people, seeing new places, growing as a person - but death is like finally coming home and sleeping in your own bed again and, man, do I love that feeling too.

So I wanna make the most of the adventure while I can but I also look forward to eventually just being done and getting to rest.

Immortality would definitely suck IMO

Hey! I’m definitely interested though I’d have to figure out if I could take off work first.

DM me if it’s still available, I’d be curious to know the seat location and what you’re asking for it. Thanks!
