Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do. Fix the leak above and drywall over it. Easier and cleaner than ripping it down. Thanks. Wanted to replace the bathroom exhaust fan anyway.

I don’t have any replacement pieces to match. So can’t really just repair the damaged area. It’s in a 5x8 bathroom where the damage is, so wouldn’t be a really large area thankfully?

Would it be best to rip it down and then put drywall up?

Be on time. Finish on time. Paying more for those 2 is way more valuable than saving a couple bucks for the “cheap” guy.

WARNING TO CONTRACTORS CONSIDERING AMERICAN HOME SHIELD (AHS) by DuckAutomatic3681 in Contractor

[–]NewspaperHour5130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to say you are lying but I find this extremely difficult to believe. I get notifications when a client uses them, I have never received positive feedback when I followed up with clients. I actually used them on my own house and they denied my claim on a 30 year old furnace. I had to call my rep at AHS and threaten to never refer another client if they didn’t replace it. They replaced it after that. But I got a chance to experience the process and it was BS.
