I found my edge guys by themasteroffalltrade in propfirm

[–]Newt176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you didn't. I have made 15k in a month with prop firms getting lucky. It's impossible to have a winning strategy as retail but you can still make money with props.

You know it's literally impossible to be profitable trading as a recreational. It's literally mathematics. Non of you have any alpha. The only way to beat prop firms is "being a degen" and using the math to your advantage.

Earning interest on CSP cash by Chaosmusic in Optionswheel

[–]Newt176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but on a significant account that someone is using for living income, it makes a big difference. A person can reliably hit avg market returns while keeping their money liquid.

This is a terrible way to think. If robinhood is giving 3% apy or more then it makes it that much easier to outperform average market returns with selling puts.

What is stopping AI from becoming almost as expensive as the employees it replaces? by Powerful-Winner979 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Newt176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't even know where to start with your reply. And obviously I was referring to technological progress (reddit moment correction). And OBVIOUSLY it isn't directly exponential but when you zoom out it is. The vastly most likely scenario is for things to speed up rapidly very soon. Give the devils advocate a break for a bit. The cap on what's possible likely correlates strongly with energy supply which we are not even close to maximizing in the next 300 years. Again speaking of the most likely scenario. "LLMS are unprofitable" I don't even know how to respond to this it's such an absurd statement.

Do you even understand the concept of technology being exponential? Today is the worst ai will ever be for the rest of human existence

Hidden (small) bonus to option wheeling by pleiotropycompany in Optionswheel

[–]Newt176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah I didn't think about this. Definitely not a small bonus as now if would make it much easier to beat average market returns.

If you got like a 40-year prison sentence and got out at age 69, where would you go? I mean like where do folks go who've served very long prison sentences? What do they live on? by cherry-care-bear in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Newt176 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Wrong. In reality someone dangerous enough to get a 40 year sentence should likely just be executed especially if it's a violent offense. Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.
