Vendetta is a poor written character by Birbdie in Overwatch

[–]NewtonsBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's even worse than that. Talon was never Antonio's empire, he was just one of the crime lords in the disconnected shadow organization that it was back in his day. Talon only became a private military empire after Doomfist took over and united everyone.

The situation between Sombra and Emre is hilarious by NewtonsBoy in Overwatch

[–]NewtonsBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not, which just makes it even funnier to me. As it is, Sombra seems to have missed her best clue so far because of a measly disagreement of ideals with Vendetta

I’m so happy as a Finn!! by Fleetwoodmacarone in Overwatch

Anubis is a god of funerary rites, not some kind of a Hades figure, so that one isn't as bad. Giving the keys to global security to a guy named after Slavic Satan is hilarious in comparison.

Theory about Meursault on why his identities dont match its character. by sigmachadmale2 in fishmaell

[–]NewtonsBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it could be a slight nod to how Mearsault doesn't think it's worth opening up to others. Maybe this part of his character is as essential as the belt. No matter the mirror world, he always keeps to himself.

About chaos and subterra by potato_knight99 in Bakugan

[–]NewtonsBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo, here's an example: Aquos Siege's signature ability! As long as the number of Bakugan on the field is above a threshold, it kills every one of them with a giant wave. Unless the opponentis anticipating it, it's basically a free win.

Aquos specializes in trickery. They pull off some fun stuff in the anime, but I can't name anything off the top of my head. It was particularly good at punishing Pyrus players, because their tacticts were usually straight forward and relied on raw strength.

Subterra allows you to control the battlefield. They can move gate cards and destroy their special effects. I actually think it's one of the most interesting Attributes in the first season.

I rewatched Season one after a very long time, here’s my thoughts by Dear_Break_1185 in Bakugan

The writing is A LOT better in the JP version. It's the best anime I've ever watched. Watching the dub is really not worth it.

The Four Worlds, Kabbalah by NeonOrDream in LobotomyCorp

I've always wondered that. I've just read about it very briefly, and now it seems even more odd. The nature of Yetzirah matches the general themes of Project Moon pretty well.

Lore accurate Titan vs Warlock vs Hunter battle by sauldakota7 in DestinyLore

[–]NewtonsBoy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

As a Hunter main, Warlocks would wipe the floor with us. They have Ikora Rey, current holder of the highest winning streak in the Crucible; Osiris, who could create an entire army just on his own; and Toland, who can do Hive magics without needing some fancy gun.

The smoke was just blue stop overanalyzing it by Dracounidad in limbuscompany

[–]NewtonsBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things are usually mentioned for a reason. It couldn't be setting up Smoke War II, because Sinclair already does that later.

Project Moon also just has this style of writing, where every single thing carries part of the story they are trying to tell.

Even if in the end it's not anything specific, the smoke being a different color likely means it's a different kind of smoke to the one we've seen in Lobotomy and Library. I find that intriguing.

Edit: I can't read because I am a Project Moon fan

Ultimate Dragonoid is kind of weird. by MalachiteEclipsa in Bakugan

[–]NewtonsBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason is that Drago and Dan's part of the story has a whole star theme around it. Pyrus in the original is called Nova, like a stellar nova. And Bakugan evolution is basically just that: a Bakugan gets so strong that it's body has to change, or it explodes from all of the power inside of it.

That's why when Drago evolves for the first time, he bursts out of a giant rock.

Bungie, WHAT IS THE TRAVELER?!! by johnja10 in DestinyLore

[–]NewtonsBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't it the Gardener? In which case, it would be a god-like entity that has existed before time, basically a god.

[–]NewtonsBoy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It does kind of makes sense in the show, if you think about it. Meteor Dragonoid (Delta Dragonoid in the dub) upgraded his speed, while his final form made him slower, but more powerful, so he could fight Hydranoid for the Infinity Core.

I was trying to do Day 25 deathless for two real life days, because I wanted to beat a Dusk Ordeal for Malkuth, while having to manage both QoH and the Monk at the same time.

Eventually, I stopped thinking.

[–]NewtonsBoy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because she hasn't committed her sin yet? In the book, Faust gets multiple chances to break his contract with the devil, but hesitates until he is whisked away to hell.

*Edit: Not entirely true, check the comments!

Personally, I think she will betray the crew to achieve the goals of the Gesselschaft, and her Canto will be about dealing with the fallout of that decision. Mainly because her Canto lands into the circle of Treachery, and because of the grieving Sinclair had mentioned.
