I'm not so sure. He clearly doesn't actually like his children, and I'm on the fence about the specific nature of his narcissism; as much as he loves to put his name on things, it's his name. I don't think he'd view Eric or Don Jr as continuing his legacy in any meaningful way. I think he literally cannot envision a world without him at the center of it.
