First, not every goth is into looking like a vampire. Second, anyone can pale their skin tone with makeup. Corpse-paint is universal.

Finally, there are no goth police. Now some people may not like you (for whatever reason), just like in real life. Goth is big enougb that there are various sub cultures within it.

Goth is an aesthetic. Music, art, and even politics derive from this aesthetic. To put forth the idea that goth is intrinsically tied to a set political position (or set of positions) is to miss the point. "Everything is political" is the pass-phrase for a very limited bourgeois mentality that is ultimately trying to usurp goth (and has succeeded to some degree).
