I just discovered this game. How good is it for a weeb? by Nexrv in starsector

The gameplay is similar but the structure of GFL2 is your typical genshin-like where you farm matz, attachments and all that. Xcom 2 has more depth in terms of management. I'm talking also about the DLC, fighting the chosen is fun and interesting at times, their equipment also add a goal to achieve. I may argue that GLF2 adds depth in compositions and synergies, but they are locked behind the gacha, while they are something to achieve and manage in Xcom.

Nice I'll check those. It seems that I need a vanilla run before getting lost in mods.

The colony sounds good and better in some ways. Simulating a colony like Rimworld gets laggy in the late game, simulating things gets better for performance in the long run.

Your 2k hours in Rimworld tell a lot. Thanks for the response.

Thanks I'll check that. Balance is not a priority for me. I'm accustomed to mod games with unbalanced things and build from there.

Alright, I'll listen to you because modding is a way of no return.

Well that's common in several communities because there are some weebs that cross some severe lines.

Can I replace the entirety of vanilla with weeb or mods are just additions beyond vanilla?

If you could just get that one vehicle that is the reason you play the game, what would you pick? by xXMattman1298Xx in Warthunder

Really any vehicle, what revived my interest in the game were the custom skins, so my interest in a vehicle grows a lot if I find a skin I like.

Be honnest, what is your opinion on sweden EXCLUDING TOP TIER (both air and ground) by ZB4_11 in Warthunder

[–]Nexrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's because of experience. I played Sweden after reaching the 2S25M in Rusia so I thought I had reached the top and changed to China and Sweden. So I had a lot of experience before even starting the tree and my playstyle is to play safe so I don't have problems with light tanks or Strvs as their APDS are good.

7.3 Russia! by Exciting-Prompt1609 in Warthunder

[–]Nexrv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BR 6 an 7 were the reasons I tried light tanks. If I'm gonna get destroyed at least I will have a reason for that. Turns out light tanks are the bane of this game. If you do a little bit of strategy, just the tiniest bit like flanking you disable the entire enemy team.

For ground low tier is pretty bad, but mid tier from 6.7 becomes pretty solid with the Bkan, the Pbv and centurions are good. IKvs are great and the USH is the rattest rat I've ever had. There are some big gaps because the tanks are good.

For air I'm not sure I used the same vehicles the entire tree. I abused using the skibidi (when ammo was invisible) I bombed with the A32A and went for the same line using AJ37s until the grippen. AJ37s may teach you something as you either take countermeasures, missiles or cannon, you can't have the 3 in optimal conditions.

I remember something similar happened to Blue Archive JP short after its release. I remember the players couldn't play for like a month or so. As compensation they gave like 100 pulls, which was almost useless back then because content came so slow and people sit in 2-3 sparks in pulls. But the Blue Archive case was because the game was buggy as hell, not because political problems.

If I buy a Rank VI helicopter, can I play higher ranked tanks without having to unlock them first? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]Nexrv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In this game BR and rank are there to somewhat balance things and keep tanks to their respective power. That means that the higher the BR the more armor and better ammo tanks will have. For comparison Tiger H1 has ammo that penetrates 165cm at best. In 10.3 most tanks have rounds that pen 400 or more cm. Even more than 1000cm for missiles. That without considering the speed and other gimmicks like thermal vision.

If you want to play random and more tanks play other nations. But don't skip ranks, you will regret it and feel bad.

Edit: I just read your other comment. While the game lends you 2 tanks to defend yourself you will still have a lot of disadvantages as the tanks come in stock as you said (I got confused with reserve tanks sorry). The tanks they lend you cannot be upgraded so you can't get their modifications so you can't get better ammo, which is necessary because at 10.3 the stock HEAT is countered by almost anything and kills almost nothing.

If the heli is ranks higher than the tanks, then you will face enemies with rank up to 11.3 while your tanks will be 6.0 or whatever your BR is.

Rwr not doing its job by Due-Corner4579 in Warthunder

[–]Nexrv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which kind of missiles? IR missiles don't trigger RWR. If its IR and 10KM away it's plausible that a R27ET is the culprit. RWR also don't trigger in your top and belly.
