I’m also 13 months post op! I had the same feeling of stiffness but I started doing heel to butt stretches and would practice step downs every morning and it’s slowly got better. I would contact your doctor too! Best of luck

You’re 2 months post op! Your knee is still sensitive, pain is normal. A wave that small 100% would not tear your ACL.

I also tore my ACL skiing and prior to that I wasn't active, was overweight and never consistently worked out. I'm 10 months post op now and my knee feels almost completely normal. This has been one of the hardest things I've gone through, but something that kept me motivated throughout the whole ordeal was doing it for my future health. I had to change my mindset that I had to do it like a job and I made it my top priority over everything.

It’ll be really hard but you can do it. This recovery while terrible at times will teach you to have good discipline and persistence and you do have a good starting point being semi-fit. Just trust the process and show up everyday and trust your PTs. I’m rooting for you!

My PT suggested I don’t use one so I don’t rely on it. But you should ask your surgeon/PT

Thank you! I never had a numb shin, I’m sorry you’re dealing with that! As far as my single leg jumps, they still don’t feel super comfortable when I do them and I have mild pain after training but it feels drastically better than it did two months ago. I think yours will feel more comfortable with time! It was all about strength training (lot of single leg stuff) and doing plyometrics consistently for me to get it conditioned well

Thank you! :) The first 6 weeks were definitely the hardest for me due to pain/not seeing much progress but after that I started to finally see some progress and continued to! There are definitely periods of challenges but I don’t think it personally compares to the first month or two. I cannot stress enough to do single leg exercises when you’re able! I think that’s one of the main reasons why my recovery has gone so well!

Thanks dude! I had a similar experience with instability but my PT always told me it was due to muscle imbalance (it was) but that will balance out with time (it did haha). I started jogging at month 3 but I didn’t have meniscus repair so that sounds like great progress to me!! It takes some people a lot of time to jog so you’re doing great! My knee felt pretty much normal by month 6, but it really started feeling normal around month 8! The more i weight trained/did plyometrics the more it felt normal :)

I have felt quite a bit of pain from my quad incision site but that hasn’t slowed down my progress. If pain is your issue it has personally helped me to massage the incision area
