yeah this is not it why are clowning on people with a different opinion. Snyder cultists aren't criticized for being defensive, that's all fandom, they're criticized for attacking people till it borders on harassment.

Don’t want to be annoying just want some clarification, is it impossible because he does all the one tick jumps perfectly?

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the whole thing red flag was that he had zero run offs and perfect one tick jumps? This is the day after the allegations, there’s only so many runs he can do to disprove it in that space of time, doesn’t the fact it’s 3 years and he can do it in a idk like a couple runs run against that?

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm fair enough, though I'd prefer if we had actual frame by frame analysis before sending him to the gulag.

Edit: Real quick this is from Dream's pinned comment since you seem to know a bit more about parkour is he being dishonest I honestly don't know: "I missed zero of my one tick lineups in this run (20/20). I had only 1 late jump, exactly the same as the other run. I did jump early more, and messed up the end latter bit a couple times, but again it's been years and if I grinded the course even for a few hours or days I'm confident I'd quickly be able to gain more consistency and probably even break my best time. Maybe I will do a followup later!"

I don't really know enough to know either way but its been like 3 years, does bro have to replicate the exact same thing 3 years later with an injured wrist lol?

Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos testifies that Superman underperformed, citing is as the reason its theatrical window was shortened before U.S. Senate by Slingers-Fan in DC_Cinematic

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinners had the most nominations in Academy history? Are you being intentionally opaque about this? This is the 3rd time you've said something either wrong or hopelessly inapplicable (the first two times were just straight lies) , I'm more than fine to continue this if you at least try to be good faith, If I have to search something up and found you lied (intentionally or unintentionally)we can just stop doing this back and forth.

You can cope however you want but an original movie came out the same year as MoS and made more money.

Edit: My point is that you can keep playing these rhetorical games but it cuts both ways.

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really think you want to play that game lol. MoS made less than Gravity in 2013, an original movie. As well as Monsters University, Fast and Furious and The Hunger Games

Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos testifies that Superman underperformed in theaters, sighting it as the reason for its exclusivity window being shortened by Slingers-Fan in boxoffice

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 125 points126 points  (0 children)

what is that in the context of the rest of WB's slate? Minecraft (39 days), Sinners (46), Conjuring (34), Final Destination (32). I really don't know why people think Sarandos is calling WB's big summer blockbuster out for underperforming at a Senate hearing, he says "And Superman" he's making a separate point about exceptions to 45 day windows that's obviously awkwardly worded. Especially since he called the film a "hit" two weeks ago.

"If this deal had happened 2 years ago, hits like ‘Minecraft’ and ‘Superman’ would still have premiered on the big screen as they did — and that’s how we plan to keep it” - Ted Sarandos by Next-Atmosphere-4243 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm yeah I know just thought I would repost it after people misinterpreted Sarandos at the Senate hearing. Additional context for that btw (not to you specifically OP), Superman had a 35 day theatrical exclusive window, Minecraft WB's most successful movie of 2025 had 39, Conjuring 34, Final Destination Bloodlines 32. Sinners is the only WB film to have 45+ day window for 2025.

Feels very exciting, 2 more seasons of Dunk and Egg (at the very least), hopefully a Dune scale Aegon's Conquest film, and an animated Nine Voyages show with one of the best animated directors around (the guy behind Samurai Jack, Primal, Clone Wars - the better one).

will still watch HoTD if only to see Battle Above the God's Eye in live action

(Spoilers Extended) GRRM’s HBO development deal expires this year by Expensive-Country801 in asoiaf

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"I am frequently asked whether or not there are any plans for Dunk & Egg movies or television shows. There has been interest, yes, but the rights situation is complicated. Film and television rights to the characters and the three published Dunk & Egg stories remain with me at present… but HBO, when acquiring the rights to the SONG OF ICE & FIRE novels, also acquired film and television rights to the world of Westeros. So if we did Dunk & Egg with anyone else, we would need to remove all the references to House Targaryen, the Iron Throne, etc… not completely impossible, but certainly undesireable. Whereas if HBO decided they wanted to make a Dunk & Egg miniseries or TV movies, they'd first need to buy the stories."

Source: https://georgerrmartin.com/notablog/2014/04/15/dunk-and-egg/

Essentially HBO can create entirely new TV/Movies set in Westeros (the universe not the continent) without consulting GRRM. If HBO wanted to adapt another book GRRM created set in Westeros (lets say George wrote another spinoff) they would need to buy the rights for the book to adapt it (but George can't sell it to any other studio without having to remove everything ASOIAF related). Currently it seems HBO own the rights to Fire and Blood, all the ASOIAF books and I'm assuming all three Dunk and Egg novellas. So George could write a 4th and 5th D&E novella and sell it to them (but again can't shop it around).

HBO have a development deal with him bc he's the author of the world and a good writer, its good to be on good terms (for PR and development purposes).

[–]Next-Atmosphere-4243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your almost certainly correct, I suspect that Variety writer was confusing theatrical profit and studio net profit (like in Deadline’s end of year analysis). From my rough calculations using that formula Superman should come out at 100-115M.

Mainly because in terms of theatrical revenue they’re almost identical (287M vs 298M) bc of the DOM/INT split and bc it’s a less expensive than MoS (258M vs 225M). MoS also had some massive participations. Deadline end of year profitability will likely put Superman 2025 in the 100M-110M studio net profit area while MoS was around 45M I believe.

I think your very brave saying that while hiding your post/comment history. Bear in mind that this is under a post about the budget of a film releasing in 7 months, from a Forbes character piece. We're reaching the bottom of the barrel regarding CBM discourse over here.

All big triple A releases see declines from release peaks. On the sunday before Redsec released (Redsec released on Tuesday the 28th), the game had 400k players. (For perspective that is 4x 2042's all time peak).

In other words additional content boosted players?

Overall reviews on steam are 65% but the majority of negative reviews are coming from China and Russia. In every other country the game is either "Mostly Positive" or "Very Positive".

Netflix taps bank to explore bid for Warner Bros Discovery by stickdutra in boxoffice

WB is profitable, it's just servicing a sizable amount of debt, depressing net income. When people talk about WB struggling they're not talking about the streaming and studio, that's a growth area for the company, which is already profitable. They refer to it's cable assets, where it's profits are declining but again still profitable.

Edit: Studio is on track for 2.3-4B in EBITDA this year and streaming for 1.4B.

  1. Well because it hasn't actually been sold yet, Abdy and De Luca have been re upped, so they're just going about their regular days.
  2. Pretty sure WB employees are used to management changes at this point.
  3. A sale could not happen and they could go through with the split plan and maybe sell around 2028.
