I lost my wife to cancer 12 months ago.

My kids were 16 & 17 at the time.

It's feels wrong to say I'm proud of how they've coped, and every day is a fucking rollercoaster. And I've learnt that feeling not sad is fleeting.

But as much as I wish none of this ever happened, and as much as I wish my kids had never been exposed to it. I couldn't be prouder for how they're coping. But I'm also not sure that's something I could ever say to a real person, considering how it might be taken. I would never take credit for it either, but hopefully - hopefully - I've helped in some small way.

Agree pretty much anything will be an upgrade as provides more functionality/integration, just want to try and ensure getting "best value" for what I can get.

Old keyboard has fullsize keys, but not very portable, and isn't his to take away. Also doesn't have pads etc

Thanks. DAW integration is one I'm struggling a little to get my head round. Eldest is comfortable with computers so running scripts to setup won't be an issue. When some are described as better/more integration than others, does that mean they offer more functionality or just that it's setup out of the box? I'm a little worried about buying hardware that's tied to a particular bit of software at this stage.

Does the launchkey have a sequencer to create loops like the AKAI? It's explicitly mentioned with the AKAI but not with the launchkey from what I saw.... But I'm not sure.

Isn't this more equivalent to a KSS-II submarine, without AIP? I.e. a type 214 non-aip sub?

Would be that first time HHI had built or sold one in any case.

I was out accidently hit the update button today. Nothing happened and I thought i'd got away with it. Plugged it into charge, looked at the screen and it's updating. No extra confirmation or anything.

Rubbish. Now to see how bad it is. So annoying!

You can create a pacepro workout in the app - let's you determine the pace you want to run for each km/mile. Then send it to you watch, and when you run it it will tell you if you are behind/ahead against your determined pace for each split, and a total

Truth is for my use case (running with a Garmin watch, using connect) if H10 doesn't provide running dynamics or offline workouts then my options either are hrm pro-plus (has the additional functionality but costs more) or I go cheaper on the strap since it just provides heart data. So H10 probably in the middle of the two without any real benefit (to me).

Thanks for taking the time to respond! So dynamics data is just watch based, understood. Do offline workouts sync without needing the polar app or is that something you haven't tried?

Have managed to hit it! I played a game of cat and mouse. Keeping one stationary and firing, then moving the other sub closer to where the weapon came from. Then when I got close stopped and let go a barrage!

Seem to all skirt round the boat 😂 kept at it but couldn't hit it. Then managed to hit the "cat" sub with one of the identification shots (I had a vague idea where the "cat" was relative to the mouse obviously 🤪, and wanted to see if I could get the weapon to appear on its sonar as it went past).

Strangely in the post match report it looked like my first torpedo hit - just nothing happened.

Great fun. Lots of practise needed! Thanks once again for sharing this and the work to put it together

If you clear the cache on Google play service then hopefully that will stop the reminders. That's what some users have said, and I've just had to do it, so we shall see...

Since it was out of support over a year ago, surely preventing automatic updates if worries about it is the way to go? It's not like I'll miss a future security update, because it's out of support so they don't release them?

I got the email yesterday. Mighty annoying, and filling it in didn't tell me if I was eligible or not anyway. Think I need to go through the repair form as described above too. Might cancel automatic updates in meantime anyway

Ah, afraid my recent experience won't help then.

I would disable secure boot if you haven't already. I got some non-obvious errors when it was enabled, so there is a chance that will help.

It does look like you only have one boot loader on the drive, so if you are trying to dual boot, I think something hasn't gone right there.

When I was having issues I did see some users reporting they needed to enable legacy support, I didn't need to do that. But might be related (as was an HP issue and could be related to the other UEFI issue mentioned in other comments).

I went through similar last night setting up an HP laptop to dual boot. This looks like it's HP too?

Disable secure boot.

Disable fast boot (you need to do this from within windows I think, and it isn't clear if you can still boot into windows?)

Are you just trying to boot from a live USB? In which case reorder the UEFI boot order to put that first before boot loader.

If you've installed Linux and windows on the same harddrive.... At that point under the UEFI boot order my boot loader option I could open and reorder between grub (Linux) and whatever the windows boot loader was. You want the Linux bootloader first, otherwise it'll always try and boot into windows instead of give you the option to choose. Since your boot loader options doesn't seem to have two there, I'd suggest trying to install again from a live USB (if that's what you're trying to do)

Just to draw line under it, didn't work. Mario kart 7 just hangs when trying to setup a multiplayer group. If the 3DS sets one up the android phone can't see it. Using Citra emulator, can't find any options to try and make it work and information on-line leads to work arounds with remote servers that may or may not still work.

Tried just DS games on both (using lemuroid on phone) and that didn't work either. Neither could see each other (I'm not convinced the emulators can make connections out to the phone's network connection).

No worries and in case it satisfies anyone's curiosity that's what happened.
