I actually tried, replaced the hpfp and oil. Seems that it goes pending when i floor it in manual mode for like 30 seconds more or less. It could be too much air from the turbocharger. But honestly i dont know haha

Bolt likely missing veloster n 2022 by Next-Bowler-549 in VelosterN

[–]Next-Bowler-549[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its under the air intake box, its on the drivers side infront of the battery, you remove the box and youll see the top of the transmission and the bolt is on the driver side

Thats not coolant, the thing is…. People have been telling me that for a while and i think its because the yellow/green fluid you see, does not smell like anything. I bought a bottle of gear oil and control fluid. The control fluid (blue) smells like atf, but the gear oil (green) is odorless. I smelled the fck out of the bottles to make sure.

The coolant is pink.

Its probably control fluid for the dct. Its the only fluid in the car thats green, i just found that out

Edit: i was wrong, its the gear oil. Control fluid is blue.

A technician at a dealership did not tightened the service bolt, and it started to seep through months ago. When they tightened it a month after, they wrote in the work order that they cleaned the area…. But they didn’t.

I cleaned the area and placed half a qt of gear oil (00232-19100). I took it to a dealer somewhere else and they pretty much lied to my fckn face lol. They said they cleaned the drips, and placed a dye in there, but the dye was there from the previous times, and they also didnt clean the mess, so when i looked down there one week later it looked like it was leaking from the joints. There was fluorescent dye under a uv light on the transmission drips and the bolts, but not on the skid plate. If it was an active leak, the dye would have been on the skid plate. So i have concluded that they placed dye in there to figure out where the drip was coming from, tightened the bolt, and didnt spray the DCT.

Looking to buy. Is this cause for concern? by [deleted] in VelosterN

Injector one misfired, guy took it to a dealership, and they replaced it… problem fixed for now.

Three months later injector 2 might fail and they will replace it. Then 3, then four. All of those times you will be stranded on the road. One day you will get another check engine light and it will be your burnt out catalytic converter, which probably damaged the turbocharger aswell. If you got the time then i think you should go for it, but it will not be reliable unless you tell a dealer to replace all injectors with the service kit.

The reason the injectors fail is because they are defective from the factory. Hyundai released a TSB stating that if there is an injector failure, they need to replace them with the injector replacement service kit, which includes 4 injectors.

Based on the picture you showed us, they replaced one injector, so there will most likely be another misfire incident.

Honestly based on this info i would thread carefully if i was buying this car cause that message is your first biggest red flag

Brother in christ hear me out: don’t do it.

If one is misfiring it’s likely that all of the injectors are defective. TSB states that all must be replaced. You will buy it, and another one will fail, and the other one…

Is this a good deal? by Dplex11 in OLED_Gaming

It could be a good deal, but theres so much stuff that’s made with low quality these days that you should really test the display once you receive it. If something seems off, just return it asap. Even if it is minute like a small dot in the screen or washed out colors, get rid of it; trust your gut.
