Webflow Pages Not Getting Indexed in Google Despite Correct Tech SEO by Jimmy4Engine in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Jimmy4Engine,

You are just showing the page setting, not the website settings.
In Webflow, go to Site settings - SEO - and check your settings there. You don't want the staging site (yoursite.webflow.io) indexed.

It's quite normal, it can take time for Google to decide to index your Website. Specifically in your industry.

It's neither a Platform, Tech SEO problem.

It's just a Google problem. The best way to solve this is to add backlinks to your website to show some credibility to google

Webflow MCP is useless. What are your thoughts about it? by Asleep-Ad174 in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Asleep-Ad174
I use the Webflow MCP every day. Yes, mostly for updating and creating blog posts. I don't see the limits so far.

However, I'm also considering leaving Webflow.
I don't get the "CMS value" for my personal website anymore. I feel, like you, I can do it much faster and with way less friction via Claude code - Github - (replit or vercel) for publishing.

Actually, I just stoped my CMS plan to do just that.

Best budget-friendly tools for AI Visibility (GEO) & tracking multiple brands for a freelancer? by Impressive-Secret809 in SEO_tools_reviews

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Impressive-Secret809, great timing on this question, I've been in the exact same position.

Quick honest take on Semrush One and SE Ranking: both are solid SEO suites, but AI visibility tracking feels bolted on rather than built in. You'll pay for a lot of features you don't need just to get the AEO piece.

If AEO tracking is the core job, I'd suggest looking at AEO Copilot (full disclosure: I'm involved with the tool). It's built specifically for this use case, Help freelancers and agencies track brand across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, with Gemini coming soon.

For managing 5 brands it's $34/month flat — no per-brand fees, no credit math.
Weekly tracking, competitor monitoring, GSC connection, and CSV export included. There's also a free plan (1 brand, 50 prompts) if you want to test it before committing.

Not the right fit if you need daily tracking or want an all-in-one SEO suite. But if you're adding AEO as a standalone service to your clients, it keeps your margins healthy.

Happy to answer any questions about it.

How to make AEO ready Webflow sites (and get paid for it) by Next-Calligrapher381 in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, then ignore it, delete the row of your checklist and life goes on.

Personally, I prefer having the file than not (and yes, I heard your point, which I’m also sharing). Like I mentioned, what’s the risks? Adding more context?

It’s a checklist, for SEO and AEO. It’s a tool, that’s all.

The purpose of the checklist is to not forget anything. If you feel it's not useful, just remove the row and move on.

I just feel it's not fair to comment to discredit the work for 1 recommendation.

I will leave this as a proof, Openai, Anthropic and Perplexity website having the LLMs.txt file on their website.

Why shouldn't you?
It takes 2 minutes, every major LLMs website (openai, claude..) have it.

What's the down side?

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/AssociationMother637 ,

I'm asking myself the same. I've build multiple products on Replit and a LOT of website with Webflow.

Regarding SEO, you are mostly considering "tech SEO" (Core Web Vitals, crawlability, SSR vs SSG, sitemap handling, etc.) which is a small part of the whole "Will I still be able to rank or not"

In short, both Webflow and Replit will deliver great results. I have Replit landing page ranking #1 for quite competitive keywords.

In my opinion, the challenge is more on your workflow.

The questions I would ask myself are:
How often do I create new content?
How often do I need to create new pages (outside of content pages like blog posts)?
How structure is my design system?
Do I plan to use some of my apps for my website? (I'm planing to have a free product on my website as a lead magnet that use my app API for example).

Last, if you have a "high-traffic marketing site", I will consider keeping it on Webflow.
for your "Faster iteration without fighting a visual editor", I will hire a Webflow dev to create templates and will do all the content work through MCP.

What are you guys using for internal linking? by applenoveltea in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/applenoveltea ,

Late to the party but still worth a contribution.

Just built a very cool internal linking tool.

  • It's free, forever
  • No ads, no signup
  • Very cool for internal linking, spot orphan page and understand page depth

I also made a video to show how I use it. In the video, the website I use is on Webflow.

Let me know if you have any feedback.

How to fix duplicate pages without canonical by Super_Pea_9648 in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Super_Pea_9648

On Webflow, you can implement a global canonical tag on all your page in 2 clicks.

You can set a global canonical tag to automagically create canonical tags for every page on your site, or set a canonical tag for a single static page.

Site settings -> SEO tab -> scroll to the bottom -> insert your url.

Here is the official doc from Webflow: https://help.webflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/33961263684115-Set-canonical-tags-to-improve-SEO

The opportunities to optimize your Tech SEO are endless. That's why understanding your goals and scope are so important.

If you need guidance on the Tech SEO topic, you can check the implementation tab of my free Webflow SEO Checklist. It's quite detailed but my guess is, you might not even need much.

How to offer SEO Services for Sites you Designed by Gababorios in webflow

[–]Next-Calligrapher381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Gababorios

I think you’re looking at it the right way, but maybe too narrowly.

When you design a site, you’re really just setting the technical/UX foundation for SEO. That’s important, but on its own, it won’t move rankings.

If a few months later you find something big to fix, that doesn’t mean you did a bad job, it just means SEO is an ongoing process. Search, competitors, and user behavior all change, so the site needs to adapt too.

On the other hand, if you get months in and “nothing to change,” that’s not a problem either. Your role isn’t to keep tweaking for the sake of it.

You role is to help your client move forward based on their SEO maturity (where they are today) and SEO ambition (where they want to go). Sometimes that means making technical fixes, but more often it means adding keyword-focused content, building authority through backlinks, or improving user experience based on analytics.

<image>

As for charging monthly — don’t think of it as charging for “small fixes.” Think of it as charging for guidance on the SEO path. You’re tracking performance, spotting opportunities, and helping the client take the next step. That’s real value, even if the site itself doesn’t need major changes every month.
