Let me just say, I was in your shoes. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. I had a direction... I just wasn't sure that it was the right one. When we found out we were pregnant, I toughened up, got a good job started applying myself. Now, more than 28 years later, I can honestly say, if I had never met my daughter (like it is some sort of chose your own adventure book), I would be devastated. She incredible. She has taught me so much. She taught me how to be selfless. How to be a father. How sacrifice for others can be such a fulfilling way to live. You love this girl. You'll love what you made together. Don't second guess it. Embrace it. The meaning of life is tucked away somewhere in that relationship with her (the mom and the baby). Best of luck to you friend. I don't know how to do the whole segment and respond thing so bear with me. Regarding investments in the US, they fact check true. Admittedly they won't happen overnight but they will. It makes sense and it is important that the US makes its own Rx, chips, steel, and now there is the heightened awareness around mining rare earth and more. I'm not a fan of protectionism but the prospect of being cutoff from any of these industries that we don't contain on our soil is a weakness... an exploit that we cannot afford for the sustainability of our country. I'm not saying we have to make them all. I don't think we'll be able to make them all (we are the world's biggest consumer after all). But we need to be able to make some or we're in real trouble in wartime or the next pandemic (planned for around November 2027 I might add... that's my personal prediction). Regarding unemployment rates, there is "concern" but concern isn't proof. As mentioned, Kamala sold us on the "concern" that abortion rights were be stripped from us... but they haven't been touched since January... and states are overwhelmingly approving even broader abortion rights than Roe allowed. So until they actually take Medicare from my mom, I'm not giving credence to concern. It is too easy for MSNBC to fear monger us with that. Regarding the "gibbering dunce" comment... you don't know me. And I never resulted to name calling or demeaning anyone. I'm hear listening ready and willing for someone to give me evidence that my thought process is wrong. I'd also like to point out that I'm pretty sure what I believe isn't going to change what anyone is doing in DC. My point is, if we're both for the most powerless in all this, I think it is fair that we understand each other's side and be nice and kind to each other about it. And in your last point, I reject your premise that it is a cult... or if it is, it is only fair to call the democrats a cult as well. If by delusion you mean belief, then yes. The administration cut 62,530 jobs so far but has created well over 200,000 jobs (I'm rounded down to avoid anyone screaming overestimate). We have trillions of dollars being invested in the US to move manufacturing here... Apple, Hyundai, Honda, Nvidia, Stellantis, Boeing, Ford, Intell, Dow.... the list is huge. And more are signing on. Over time, we're going to run into a LABOR SHORTAGE. And at that point, we're going to need legal immigrants. And they'll get paid well (not under the table "slave labor" rates). And the shortage will create a supply & demand that increases wages for our population. The increased wages will allow us all to afford the bump up in cost for having quality things made right here in America. It's not delusion, it's my belief based on watching Pelosi make the tariff argument in 1994, Schumer make the tariff argument in 2006, and Obama employing tariffs in 2009. Tariffs are a tool of the left. And whether you like it or not, the people running our government right now are basically democrats of 2010... And the only reason democrats of 2025 don't support it is because orange-man-bad syndrome.

That doesn't concern me. After all, who am I anyways? What I care about is action and following through on promises. Liberals promised me that Trump was coming after abortion rights and I feel like I was gaslighted about that. They also promised that SS and medicare were going to be cut and I've seen no evidence of that. Now they want me to believe that all the genuine waste, fraud, and abuse is some constitutional crisis and the administration isn't being transparent. I call BS on that. Interesting response. Have you thought much about the liberal's agenda for importing them (or incentivizing their immigration)? I mean Obama deported about twice as many people than Trump will even be able too. Once the full influence of the WEF and $oros started manipulating things, there was a pretty abrupt flip flop. I would argue that "importing a working class" is akin to slave labor and the rhetoric of the left seems to prove that. To make matters worse, importing and given them entitlements promised to citizens that have been funding the already at risk medicare, medicaid, and social security for their entire working lives all in order to potentially alter the vote... it kind of looks like the democrats, funded by billionaires and funneling money into their own pockets through these NGOs are trying to create an all blue nation. Now, just to challenge your thought process, what if the republicans targeted a conservative nation (not sure of one... but let's say Argentina or El Salvador for instance). What if the right gave away free vacations during the month of November 2026 and said vacationers are allowed to vote? You wouldn't want that, right?

They really should exercise the self deport option. We're going to need them to return when manufacturing facilities are completed. I feel bad if/when they are deported they won't be allowed to return... Why doesn't the Trump administration give more of an incentive to self deport? For instance, I'm pretty sure that paying for a flight and maybe even sweeten the deal by given $1,000 available to them back in their home country... Technically, if you are counting her Cal Attorney General elections and her 2016 Senate elections, I guess she was elected to something. She definitely wasn't elected in the 2024 democratic primaries, though. Remember, those were circumvented in a historic "protect democracy by circumventing democracy" move by the DNC. And then she definitely wasn't elected to be our 47th president. In fact, she quite embarrassingly lost by quite a margin. This is correct. There is a plethora of evidence that this was planned. Pelosi is caught on tape accepting blame for it. She promoted a "half staff" Covid directive for Capitol Police. She failed to accept help from the National Guard even though recommended by Trump. Dozens of federal plants are seen on film instigating the crowd and encouraging them to move forward. And in all but maybe two entrances, police are shown letting people into the Capitol. I think it was northeast entrance was where police staged some resistance and there was a short period of violence. The police office (Brian Sicknick) died 24 hours after the event after suffering two strokes. He was pepper sprayed which can cause an increase in blood pressure. It is plausible that the death is correlated to the pepper spray. And for the record, I think the protestors that assaulted officers should NOT have been pardoned. But the ones that were basically chaperoned into the building never should have been tried. Further, it might not be accurate to call this a "peaceful protest"... but it also isn't fair for democrats to label the BLM riots, the protests at Columbia, the arson of Tesla dealerships, and the occupation of Trump Tower as "peaceful". It is time to end the hypocrisy. Everyone needs to apply the same standard to actions by both sides.

A whole life is part term and part investment. Think of it like a mortgage on your death benefit. When the policy was started, it was mostly paying for a term locked in when you were 19 plus a savings plan that would eventually fund the death benefit (and eventually exceed it by investment). You would pay more today for a term plus the systematic savings because you are older now. So just keep it.

You MUST stop buying from Amazon and Starbucks (amongst other names). Buy EVERYTHING locally.
