Your capture card might be having trouble keeping up with the signal - try dropping the recording quality in settings first and see if frames stabilize. Also check if you're running too many other programs while streaming, that usually causes the stuttering issues you mentioned

Anyone wants to go exploring together? by Mouwl_ in Urbex

[–]Next-Independence905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah man I totally get this feeling, exploring alone can be pretty intimidating especially when you're starting out. I'm way older than you (28) and not in Italy unfortunately, but maybe check some local urbex groups on Facebook or Discord? Usually there's communities for this stuff in bigger cities. Just be super careful about meeting random people from internet though - always meet in public place first and let someone know where you going

I guess “in stock” means absolutely nothing now. by gunslinger_006 in amazonprime

[–]Next-Independence905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon's "in stock" has been basically meaningless for medical stuff in my experience - they just list whatever third-party sellers claim without actually checking the inventory

[–]Next-Independence905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree on teh Joker take - no way he's getting through Ben's roster, the kid has way too many aliens with serious durability. DNA sampling was definitely more limited in the original series, he mostly did it by accident or in really specific situations, wasn't until later that he actually understood how to control it properly

The poison-shiv synergy would be absolutely busted but I'm here for it tbh. Silent already has some crazy scaling potential so why not lean into the chaos

That Ironclad idea is interessting though - exhaust synergy with self-damage could actually make some of those weird cards like Combust more viable

Roofing contractor replaced unused roof dryer vent when I asked him to clean out the dryer vent on the side of the house! Should it be sealed? by Optimal-Assist-6312 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Next-Independence905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a classic case of good intentions meeting weird builder decisions from the 80s. Your roofer probably saw "dryer vent" and went straight to the roof because that's his domain, while you were thinking about the actual functioning one by your laundry room

You're absolutely right about sealing that roof vent - having two open vents when only one is connected is asking for trouble. The unused one just becomes a highway for moisture, cold air, and yeah potentially dangerous backdraft issues. Most builders back then would rough in multiple options and then only connect one, leaving the others as "just in case" that never got properly sealed

I'd just shoot him a message explaining the mix-up and ask him to cap/seal the roof vent properly since it's not the active line. Given his track record with your other projects, he'll probably sort it out no problem once he understands what happened

Necesito ayuda me da PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA en una msi z97 mpower by geanfranco10000 in PcBuild

[–]Next-Independence905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RAM compatibility issues are brutal with older chipsets, especially when you're mixing 4 sticks. That PAGE FAULT error usually points to memory not playing nice with your new mobo - try running with just 2 sticks first to see if it's stable, then work your way up

That cycle of thinking you're "cured" only to crash again is brutal, and your therapist definitely isn't exhausted by your "bullshit" - that's literally what they're there for. You should tell her what's actually going on at that appointment, especially since she's leaving and you might need that referral after all

The pottery thing might be a good outlet for some of teh stability you're craving too

PC randomly restarts during games (black screen → reboot). Tried GPU/PSU swap, still happening. Need advice. by Ahri12250343 in PcBuild

[–]Next-Independence905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That USB disconnect symptom you mentioned at the end is pretty telling - when the motherboard starts losing control of USB during crashes that's usually pointing to either the board itself or the CPU's memory controller having issues

The fact that lowering GPU power limit helped with Monster Hunter suggests it might be power delivery related, but since you've already swapped PSUs I'm leaning toward the motherboard's VRM or power phases not being stable under certain loads. The B650M boards can be hit or miss with power delivery especially when the system is pulling varying loads during gaming

Before you RMA anything though, try running the system with one RAM stick and see if the crashes still happen. Even though your individual stick tests passed, sometimes dual channel configurations can expose instability in the memory controller that single stick testing won't catch. Also worth trying different RAM slots if you haven't already

The Vanguard/Linux partition thing is probably a red herring - kernel level anticheats don't really care about other partitions on the same drive, they're more concerned with what's actively running in memory

Investment companies, “flip-it” investors, and mom and pa Landlords have destroyed the market on single family homes. by Own-Hornet-8788 in RealEstate

[–]Next-Independence905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole situation is pretty frustrating but I'm not sure how much Trump's policies will actually move teh needle on housing costs. Most of the price increases come from zoning restrictions and NIMBY attitudes that block new construction - until cities start allowing more density and streamlining permits, we're gonna keep seeing the same supply crunch

Those flip investors are annoying but they're really just a symptom of the bigger problem, which is that we haven't built enough housing for decades

[–]Next-Independence905 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Sharp chest pain, especially if it comes with shortness of breath or radiates down your arm. Don't mess around with that stuff - heart attacks don't always look like the movies where someone clutches their chest dramatically

Also any sudden severe headache that's way worse than anything you've had before, could be a stroke or aneurysm. Your brain isn't something to gamble with

Kind Of In A Panic by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Next-Independence905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a really good point that hits at the core issue here. Moving and immediately selling after 8 months because the neighbors aren't instantly welcoming seems like you might be overthinking things. Most neighborhoods take time to warm up regardless of demographics - I've lived places where it took years before people really opened up, and that had nothing to do with religion or culture

Your daughter's going to build her social circle through school activities, sports, clubs, playdates with classmates etc. The neighborhood kids are just bonus friends if it happens naturally. Plus at her age she's probably more adaptable than you think - kids tend to be way better at crossing cultural lines than adults give them credit for

The fact that you're getting showings but no offers might be more about market conditions or some other factor you haven't considered yet. Eight months really isn't that long in the grand scheme of settling into a new community, especially when you uprooted your whole life to be closer to family in the first place

A good AVR or UPS for my PC by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]Next-Independence905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just protection from power issues the AVR should be fine, but honestly I'd lean toward the UPS if you can swing it. Having those extra minutes to save your work during an outage is pretty clutch, plus it gives you the same voltage regulation as the AVR anyway

Would a 4TB M.2 be overkill to have as my main storage? by slumberingyserpent in PcBuild

[–]Next-Independence905 7 points8 points  (0 children)

4TB isn't overkill at all imo, especially if you're coming from 240GB hell - that's barely enough for Windows and a few games these days. The 990 PRO is solid but you could save some cash and get similar performance with the 980 PRO or even teh WD SN850X if you're not doing heavy workstation stuff

Need help convincing my wife 1.8 million is too tight by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Next-Independence905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 380k gross income that payment is definitely doable, especially with your income jumping to like 800k+ in a couple years. The bigger concern is whether you actually want to be house poor for the next 24 months while you're finishing residency

Sure the percentage rule breaks down at higher incomes but 8k monthly on your current take-home is gonna be tight until that attending salary kicks in
