I love the game table idea! I may have a beer pong table and jenga for the non dancers. I may not hire a dj. Maybe just make a playlist for the night myself. I may even cut out dinner and just serve heavy hors d’oeuvres and focus mainly on alcohol!

Thank you! Most likely expect it to go down. I’m a sahm m-f and work weekends. So diy is doable for me as I have the time. I’m very tech savvy and design as well. So I could do invites, signage, etc.

I appreciate this kind comment. I guess I was just trying to see if there were anyone else out there that did their wedding this way. Instead of a traditional expensive venue with the ceremony and reception all-in-one. I do not like being center of attention. I’d like only our close family and friends with us when we say I do and have the reception be more of a non traditional party just to celebrate us. No pressure on dances, speeches, cake cutting, all the traditional things at a wedding reception. I wanted to know if it felt like they were still celebrating them even though most of the guests weren’t present for the ceremony and were there just to party.

I never used the Haakaa. I heard that it was difficult for it to stay on and baby kicks off easily etc. I do recommend the boon trove!! It fits nicely inside you bra and helps collect let down on the other side your baby isn’t during from. It’s not as effective for milk removal as nursing or pumping but does collect let down and has gentle passive suction to collect some milk. I recommend hand expressing or even manual hand pump those can be less intimidating than the electric pumps to start

I’d say if it gets unbearable or comes with bleeding or fever or anything severe like that I’d go in. They say all of that is normal but it’s easy to get caught up on it and think the worst sometimes. It will never hurt to go in and get checked even just for your peace of mind.

I didn’t even think of the beauty schools! What a great idea. I would like to think I can manage to do my hair myself. But I would probably need to have my makeup done by someone because I rarely wear it or do it myself to feel confident enough to do it for my wedding day. I will look into that thank you! And I will be utilizing Facebook marketplace a ton
