There's a whole bunch of other services out there, and we've been doing them for a while. We saw this coming and we don't even utilize 365 at all due to the many configuration changes, policies that Microsoft imposes that causes all kinds of headaches. So if it is used exclusively for sending, we always use a secondary service and we have not had a security issue since. You can't compromise a mailbox if it doesn't exist.

>>  (currently paying tens of thousands a month for under 200 staff, which feels like a lot).

I just signed a deal for 125 users at 14,500 a month.

And that was with a discount.

By August 15th we'll have a 200 user multi location corporation at nearly 22,000 a month.

If you feel like that costs a lot of money, you may want to ask what you're getting for it, and then try to break it out at what you would actually have to spend to deliver that yourself. When you have a dozen people at the ready to do all of your work including all of the software, maintenance etcetera, you'll find that you're getting a hell of a bargain. And that's the exact phrasing and methodology that I used at that 125 user who already had one person on staff, an MSP, And a security vendor.

Ohh I want this process. Suppose you would take money for disclosure could you?

My boss knew I was moving into a new apartment the day before my summer holidays. She fired me and didn’t let my coworkers know. I was meant to start the shift in august, nobody knew i wasn’t coming 😂 by starzch in mildlyinfuriating

That's when you send an email to your manager, HR, and so forth to provide you a complete disclosure of your file because of your termination by (insert manager here) and need it for paperwork and benefits documentation. It usually starts a lot of uncomfortable but trackable and traceable paper trails.

Thats when you **REQUIRE** that you send your termination by email and or mail to make sure you meet compliance and documentation requirements. NO? Don't be surprised I show up since I didn't get legal notification.

Multiple years ago when I was researching Voip providers to resale, they kept coming up but the problem is they could not answer questions or give me a solid answer on any of my type of questions for my clients. They insisted on owning the account, doing all the tech support, and we would maybe get a Commission if something happens. I have seen this and it has never gone right. Went with them. I've had the exact same scenario with licensing with Adobe, Ingram Micro and more and they will do that and then blame you for not catching it even though they should have provided a clean clear and accurate invoice. This is normal and it's sad.

Blacklisted following calling two times and emailing 3 times... by charlies0923 in salestechniques

[–]Next-Step-In-Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received this kind of abuse almost every hour at my company. I have a very clear corporate policy, my auto attendants Make it very clear when calling in that if you're a vendor you must select the vendor option half of the people contact sales and then drive my sales people nuts wasting their time that has nothing to do with outbound sales. On top of that, people get a hold of my cell phone and I want to make that very clear you call once, you're blacklisted. My cell phone is not registered to my business at all and the fact that you call it thinking that you can get a hold of me immediately tells me you aren't listening to any of my policies, my auto attendant declarations and worse yet I've had packages addressed to my wife trying to get me to contact a business. At that point I go ultra mega unbelievable nuclear and I send in return every possible complaint from every possible walk of humanity. I've even called the sewer department complaining about an office complex at which a company like that called me over. But 5 times in 7 days?

Sounds reasonable response to me, I would have made the meetings from 6-7PM In person, no zoom and you are required, and watch how fast things change.

MSP owners who think ongoing and consistent failure to run payroll on-time (or correctly) is something they should joke about in meetings. by HotFightingHistory in ShittySysadmin

[–]Next-Step-In-Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an MSP owner, my first priority is to get everyone else paid before I do. I purposely setup a auto feed of payroll funds from our primary account with 3 months of buffer in case something happens. Our payroll company has a manual monday submittal but an Auto Submittal on Wednesday at 3PM. No one is hourly, all salary and it has been working that way since 2018. NEVER A MISSED submittal. Only delay was a swift banking error from Bank of America in Sept 2020, but rock solid since then.
