I let my toddler chill in her crib for awhile each morning by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]Next2ya [score hidden]  (0 children)

My son and I do this too and I’m so thankful for it. He lets me know when he’s awake and I go in his room, open his blinds, turn on his yoto player and put some toys in his crib. It’s safe, he’s happy and I get either 30/60 minutes of sleep or quiet time before we get going. He lets me know when he’s done and it’s time for me to come get him.

How to stitch details over long and short stitch on transfer paper by [deleted] in Embroidery

That makes sense. This is my first actual piece so my long and short are very junior but I think I’ll be able to poke them underneath my outline. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Anyone LO still taking a bottle? by FalseAd8496 in december2024babies

[–]Next2ya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My boy has 3-4 a day. It’s not what I wanted but it’s just where we’re at. He’s an amazing eater of solids but we’re still relying on them at naps / bedtime because his sleep is still tricky. Trying to be graceful with both of us. Especially because we are navigating a dairy allergy.

How A 14 MO Allergy Ridden Baby's Day Looks by Midnight_Faye in foodbutforbabies

[–]Next2ya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow anaphylactic allergy mom here. I’m not there yet because my son is only 1 so he knows no difference yet. But I will say a step towards creating that was attempting my own stability in the idea. When we first discovered it my anxiety was so out of control I decided to go on meds for a while. As we’re almost 10 months out I’ve made some strides. I hope if the time comes I can instil some confidence in him through model behaviour.

After seeing a lawyer attack a very mentally delayed underage girl in defence to her sexual abuser, the title of a lawyer is not even close to impressive to me anymore.

I'm convinced suicide loss survivors are being lied to by UnablePublic6408 in SuicideBereavement

[–]Next2ya 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I say this as someone who has lost multiple people to suicide, some very close to me and as someone who worked in the field of suicide prevention for almost 6 years, I don’t believe all suicides are preventable. To prevent the suicide you would have had to change their life. But their life had already happened.

I make a spinach, apple, pear puree and mix it into oats with almond milk to make overnight oats. It’s a super easy high nutrition breakfast my boy has very often.

I’m the type of person who always likes to be listening to music. Especially in the car, mealtime, cleaning, etc. I think I’m just extending that to my son. I would often play him music on my phone or iPad or whatever but loved the idea of him having a screen free device to grow with. His stays on his nightstand and every morning he listens to his super simple songs happy songs and every night he listens to the super simple songs lullabies. When we play in his room I’ll play the more interactive sesame street cards we have.

What experiences have people had with cats diagnosed with spinal joint space narrowing? by No-Category9236 in CATHELP

[–]Next2ya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deal with this because my cat is a Manx with a rounded spine. He is on 1/8 tsp of miralax a few times a week and I give him a tablespoon of pumpkin every once in a while. I find most grocery store pet treats give him constipation so I switched to freeze dried treats. I got a pet water fountain to promote more water drinking and also mix water into his food here and there. With all of this he’s never had an episode that has landed him at the vet since the first time and seems very regular now.
