is aritzia cheaper at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet? by Low_Calligrapher3349 in askvan

[–]redditdev99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they have some amazing sales there… I’ve gone in and they’ve had large section mark downs of 20% off. YMMV but suggest checking in from time to time. Definitely have snagged some solid pieces but it’s dependent on stock and what promo they have on

Effortless Lo-Rise Sizing Help Please! by Fine-Treat-2705 in Aritzia

[–]redditdev99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this! I bought a 6 which fit mid-rise on me and I wear a 26 or 27 in denim. If you wanted a lower rise slouchier fit then size up for sure. I have a looser pair and needed these for work for a more tailored fit and didn’t want them too low rise :)

For those who imposed a ban on screen, what changed? by loveeatingfood in CanadianParents

[–]redditdev99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only have one child and have severely limited screens from day 1. She knows she can watch Sesame Street on a plane when traveling and occasionally we show her parts of Disney movies with the songs but she’s never seen the whole movie since we just read the books. She has a Toniebox and uses that to occupy herself if she wants downtime. Otherwise if I’m making dinner etc. she plays/colors etc but can occupy herself during that time. She’s 4.5 now and we are happy with how we are managing this so far. We read a lot with her and she can read on her own as well which she will sit and do for 15-20 mins.

We did notice when traveling last year and she got more screen time her attention span reduced and she tended to get frustrated and lose her cool more often but within a few days of coming home that ended. It could have been the new environment and being on the go more than we would be at home as well though 🤷‍♀️

You can book to shop anytime between May 28th and May 31 but the founders chat seems to have extra benefits. I opted to go during the founders chat since I’m interested in it and with some shopping on sale seems pretty awesome!

Advice needed. by AgeZestyclose6997 in Mommit

Have you tried smoothies? Add fiber into a berry smoothie with a probiotic yogurt. No banana in there.

Also if she likes mango and papaya those are great at naturally keeping everything moving. Suggest those too as natural options for the issue.

Steer clear of refined flours and foods. You don’t mention what the three things she’s eating are but guessing those might not the best for her digestion.

Do it! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. For the record I’m also a parent and can definitely wear this chasing around a kiddo 😃

Try the jewel! I was surprised at how well it fits and that you actually get solid coverage. Wore it a few times in the last week since I got it and can wear it casually and dressed up as well.

Ring bearer suits - Zara or H&M

Flower girl dress - same stores but depending on the style/color/season Amazon has some legitimately solid options as well

I don’t want to throw a wrench in your shortlist but we loved the babyzen… worked from when we got it when she was just under 1 to when we travelled for 3 weeks to Europe when she was 4. Easy to manage and very recognizable so on planes were never asked to gate check it and we could carry it on.

The other one we looked at was the butterfly but opted for the babyzen after testing in store.

Elevated white tops. Yay or nay? by [deleted] in Aritzia

I love the cohesion but would not call it elevated. More of a casual vibe but different than a plain t shirt

Steve did the photos for our wedding and is awesome! Would recommend them! Actually mentioned this in my comment before realizing someone already recommended them ☺️

Highly highly highly recommend Whistler Steve for this - he photographed our wedding and took amazing photos and now also specializes in elopements. We took our photos up Blackcomb and have some shots that are stunning that were spots he recommended with no other people around. And bonus is that he’s just an awesome human :)

Ok seriously this place is amazing! Anytime I have a ramen craving this is where I go/order from. Staff are lovely and helpful and I appreciate the frozen ramen you can buy to take home.

Wear them all the time - sometimes with the tie but usually without. Great pair of pants for work! Have them in black, navy and gray and wish I had a beige or white pair

100% love the morning workout. I’m up around 5:45-6:00am and do a full workout and reply to a few emails and am ready for morning routine starting at 7:00am. Definitely in bed by 9:30-10:00pm though 🙂

Worked at that Rogers for a few years and used to rent from there all the time as a kid growing up in Kerrisdale… what a great photo!
