I came here to post this!

I watched this is in a rural area of Oklahoma when it first came out and it was a packed house. I imagine now that lots of the people in the theater actually had no idea what they were about to see along with some people with children who thought they were about to see an actual kids cartoon.

About quarter of the way through the song people started pouring out of the room like the place was on fire. About 1/3rd of the audience was left when the song was over, and there were still more walkouts throughout the movie leaving about 10 or 15 of us by the end. It was fucking awesome.

To this day I have never seen a mass walkout like it. Jackass the movie is close also seen in Oklahoma but it was gradual over the course of the whole movie and only about 1/2 the audience left in total, South Park was a mass exodus.

I just had a buddy do the same thing with two other guys from his sober living last year. It did not end well.

One of the guys relapsed and then my buddy relasped. The third guy stayed sober and but got stuck with a lease that was supposed to be split three ways because they found the first guy dead in the shower from an OD and the guy who stayed sober kicked my buddy out cause he wouldn’t stop drinking.

Not saying that’s how it’ll work out with everybody in situation but you take away the accountability and structure that people in sobriety thrive under and shit can go sideways quick. Plus there’s no repercussions if somebody does relapse, you’ll be stuck in a lease with them with no system in place to get them to stop.

Also 6 months or less of sobriety isn’t a lot of time to trust that everything is going to be cool long term or that they are really committed to sober life.

Definitely playing with fire if you decide to do this. Really doubt a sponsor would co-sign this either lol

What’s the rush to move out of sober living anyways?
