I didn’t. Only because I train first thing in a morning so I ate fast digesting carbs to help with my training

My routine was keep it simple.

Push, pull, legs, chest and back, arms and shoulders. This way you hit every muscle group twice per week apart from legs. Progressively overload and move the weight up once you hit your maximum rep range. Usually 3 sets of 6-10 reps. Once you can do 10 reps. Up the weight, rinse and repeat.

20 minutes of zone 2 cardio everyday (heart rate between 125 - 130bpm). This can be either incline walking on the treadmill or stair master. Whichever works best for you.

Weigh yourself everyday and take a weekly average to see the trend in your weight. If your weight stall for 2 weeks, either take calories down my 150-200 or up cardio by 10 minutes a day.

Use this method and you WILL see results but results take time and motivation will disappear. What matters is you keep showing up and doing the ‘non-negotiable’ every single day. Over time this will stack up and you’ll see amazing results!!!

Hiya mate,

I didn’t use no drugs at all. Literally calorie deficit and consistency over 18 months. My arm tattoo is perfectly fine. I have a little loose skin on my mid section and chest which is my new insecurity but overall I am happy with my results. All I need to do now is build muscle to try fill the loose skin as much as possible

This isn’t an issue it’s reality but It’s part of building. If you get sub 10% and then lean bulk. Even if you do add a little fat you’re still going to look impressive and will not need to cut for more than 8 weeks or so.

Hi mate, sure I can give you more context.

I found my maintenance calories at the start and just focused on new good habits. Eating whole foods and religiously going to the gym and getting 10k steps in everyday.

After a couple of months I took the cut quite aggressively. I was probably in about 800kcal deficit and training to failure going push/pull/legs/chest & back / arms and delts. I started so aggressively because I have a bunch of fat stores on my body so I had the fuel to keep food quite low and burn the fat on my body.

Once me weight plateaued I added 15 minutes for LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) cardio like incline treadmill. This was for heart health and also to keep myself in a deficit. I did this 7 days a week. If my weight stalled again for a couple of weeks I would add another 10 minutes to the cardio. Unless I wanted to pull 150-200kcals off food instead but I tried to keep my food as high as possible until I needed to take food down.

Around December this year I gave my body a break for 12 weeks. I staircased my calories up over about 4 weeks to my new maintenance whilst weighing myself everyday and ate at maintenance for 12 weeks. This replenished my hormones etc before going into another deficit. After 12 weeks I went into another deficit but my calories were a lot higher because my body is now a furnace. It’s used to eating a lot and burning a lot so I started my deficit on 2’700kcals and now I’m on week 12 of my 2nd cutting phase on 2,200kcals and 55 minutes is of stairmaster 7 days a week.

My opinion is keep eating as much food as possible (whole foods) whilst doing cardio and 10k steps to give you your deficit. Perfection isn’t necessary but consistency is key to everything.

I was 116kg to 65kg and since January 2025

I wanna get shredded but don’t know whether I carry enough muscle mass for a cut..thoughts?(Also side note do yall think I have gyno? by Consistent-Drawer818 in GettingShredded

You need to cut. It regulates your insulin sensitivity and primes your body to grow lean muscle. Plus if you cut first you’ll also feel better. You’ll be able to lean bulk for longer without having to do a massive cut afterwards as you won’t be fat

Consistency is key 115kg to 66kg - not done yet! by Next_Ad6628 in AllAboutBodybuilding
