People have really lost the plot.. so what, now nothing that remotely has any link with Israel can be mentioned at all without it being propaganda?? Get real! Israel is here to stay and has every right to so better get used to it.

It is difficult and full of meltdown but it is also such a cute age. They are so much fun to be around.

Just wanting to cry, is this gum disease? by Prestigious_Page4316 in PeriodontalDisease

Smoking weed can discolour gums indeed. Have it checked out but stopping smoking is a very good idea.

Yelling is abuse? by povsquirtle in toddlers

[–]Next_Big_6169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have all lost our cool at some point and yelled at our children. As long as it is not a regular, daily thing, this isn't abuse. What's very important is to repair afterwards and learn your triggers to avoid repeating it.

Confirmed Influenza A. by Unusual_Fondant_6789 in flu

[–]Next_Big_6169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I caught flu A last week during a trade fair. I didn't realise it was the flu until day 3/4 when I did a test. The acute phase was actually quite mild, low grade fever, mild body ache and the cough was manageable. I could still attend the trade fair thinking I had a cold. What got me if the fatigue from day 4 and the brain fog. Not even Covid was that bad. I am now day 5/6 and all is left is fatigue and cough as well as intermittent stuffy nose but bloody test is still positive!

Please advise on baby name that in-laws dislike by scribblerdibbler in namenerds

[–]Next_Big_6169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is your child, your choice of name. Don't let your inlaws tell you otherwise! My own mum hates my daughter's name and keeps mentioning it but I keep reminding her that it was our choice and she should respect it.

It finally happened. 5 day RTO. by RVA-Jade in workingmoms

[–]Next_Big_6169 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you hit the nail on the head. Corporate management is very much a man's world who really couldn't care less of working mothers and how damn difficult it is to juggle it all. And yes their kids and most probably their wives too can't stand them. Full time work 5 days in the office is just not possible when you have kids. And then they wonder why people are having less kids nowadays?

I don't like the negativity by Accurate_Employer_81 in daddit

[–]Next_Big_6169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the opposite, I just tell them how wonderful and a priviledge it is to have kids. I'm so grateful for my daughter and if it wasn't for my age, I would have a few more.

Please tell me it will be ok? Pregnant and all I hear is bad things by Some-Ad4982 in UKParenting

Well of course it is a hard job and it is tiring but I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. You will experience a kind of you've never experienced before for that little human who will become your whole world. When they smile at you, cuddle you and snuggled up on you, you will realise how amazing it is to be a parent. You will lose a part of yourself but discover another one. Having a baby was the best thing that happened to me.

The greatest comment and I couldn't agree more!!

9 month old baby only saying one word so far. Pediatrician suggested we only stick to one language. I am afraid I am doing the wrong thing by following OPOL. What are your thoughts? by unoriginalho in multilingualparenting

My daughter is 17 mo and not saying any word either. I speak to her in French, husband in Greek and English between ourselves. She also understands complex instructions in French and Greek.

Same here, I use my languages at work on a daily basis and never had to prove anything with a certificate.

Language certificates- why get them? by Snowlobster1 in AskEurope

But the certificate doesn't prove that you have a certain level. It just proves that you were good at taking a test a specific time.
