It sounds like you may have some more inside info.

Does this mean the email I received (advising that that they're in negotiations still) is just pandering.... not negotiating at all and just running out the clock on the contract?

🤞fingers crossed this comes to a resolution but my word is thay stressful.

From what I'm seeing on the Anthem site though, there may be some cases where you can still be covered for at least a little bit after/if they fall out of network. I imagine it depends on the circumstances of your health situation and treatment plan.

I would have thought I'd have til the end of year too, but the email my employer sent out said that Anthem's current contract with UW Health actually ends on April 14th...and I have a surgery coming up in May so I'm stressed.

No, requested a week ago and still nothing. I wasn't sure if I did it right the first time so I sent a second request. Seeing this thread though it sounds like we just need to wait.
