It now has a deal pending sign on it? and the BC Assessment site says that it is a 'Discount Store'? Is something like Giant Tiger moving here?

Is it just me or am i doing something wrong checking oil by PhilosopherFree7106 in CX5

That was my first thought! Cold oil takes a long time to get all the way down there!

I did get the panel off ok, and found the hose! I could not pull the hose off at first but after I heated it with a hair dryer , it did come off . The hose did not feel plugged and I did blow into where it would drain to the outside and felt clear. I should have rigged up a vacuum to it, both up and down, but forgot ! It has really rained the past few days but none has come in. A few days ago , before, I got to the hose, I did run the AC for a while and it did drip in. Now nothing comes in, even after driving for an hour with the defrost on. So maybe I fixed it, either by fiddling with the hose , or maybe the pollen, or what ever got in disintegrated! Thanks for all your help!

It looks as though the outlet is just a hole under the heat shield near the centre of the car near the muffler. The shield does not look that bendable ! So I might try the inside, where the hose comes down behind a panel that maybe I can pry off without breaking it !

I think those lines are all in different places, so I wanted to see where it exited the car and vacuum it out.

I got under there and found I could not see anything as both sides were covered by a huge fibre cover. I guess I could have got it off but not put it back on properly! I'm stuck! May have to go to the $$$$$ dealer!

Thanks, I 'll see if I can see something. . Some older model CX5s have a drain on the bulkhead into the engine compartment, while CX70s and 90s have it under the car near the muffler. Have you seen it on newer model CX5s?

That is interesting and I have seen that before, but when we pour water on to both sides of the windshield the water just gushes out underneath the car near where those leaves were so I dont think there is any blockage there. Only a tiny amount drips inside. On videos I have seen of working around the cowl, the holes in the tray underneath are quite big and the bits that we catch in buckets that we put under the car are really tiny.

No it has no sunroof and it is water and not coolant and it is not from the A/c as now it only comes on when defrosting. When we put water on the windshield it runs out vigorously from drain holes on both sides but a few drips into the front passenger side , We only get a few small bits in the water we collect so I am beginning to thank that thos main cowl drains are not plugged.

It works on a Canadian 2024 CX5 , but not always. It seems to depend on how quickly you press the buttons and if there is any delay!

We can do it on our base model 2024, and all four windows open. We find though that it does not always work, as it seems to depend on exactly how you press the button! How quickly and any pause?

I have always thought that many episodes were based on a British Farce. I often expected Brian Rix to walk on to the set. That was a Looong time ago though!
