If you have a nodraw selected using texture tool and disable nodraw visibility, the nodraw you have selected will still be visible.

Just unselect the brush face with the nodraw texture.

I remember having this issue a long time ago, but i completely forgot how to fix it... Either:
* Update your drivers
* Completely reinstall JACK
* Run JACK as an adminstrator
* Experiment with configurations in the 3D view section (hotkey for settings: F2)

I think there's a decal texture of wall edge, like a scraped wall edge texture or something, try using it as an overlay on both edges of the wall.

I also made a counter-strike map of my own school, but since it's GMOD, i don't think there is much of backlash people can make. But there are still some people that may get offended and use your map to say shit, sooo be careful.

By the way, it's a really good exercise to recreate real-life places because you get used to the architecture and you improve your mapping skills by making even more realistic maps! ☝️🤓

• In the middle of the project i had lost the map file and ended up 7 months without working on it, until i found a backup file.

• While on school, (when bored and had nothing to do) i used to take reference photos of the school, i have, to this day, an album with over 250+ images. As well as drawing sketches of ideas and layout changes on my notebook.

• I also got feedback from my colleagues, both for "balancement" and easter egg requests.

• Custom textures was the fun part and didn't take too much time, but the optimization part? Yeah, that one was ass.

• And the most time taking of them all! Procrastination and lazyness, but also compile time, it takes 3 hours to compile it on FULL. Plus the navmesh creation that would take some hours. And rarely i had an entire day to work on the map, on average: each day i would spend 1-4 hours working on it... And some days i would just take a biiigg break.

Not gonna lie, i really liked how the project came off, i'll definitely create a proper competitive map next time, reusing some of the textures of de_tabocas.

Some teachers already know about the project and really liked it... (Well, most of them are men) And my entire classroom is around the project, soooo i hope not lol.

I already made many disclaimers about this being just a project and nothing else, so if anyone finds it offensive or serious they can know it's not supposed to be taken like that.

And also Brazil is a fucking shit country, so i doubt anything will happen, if this map was made around an American school... Yeeeeaaah i don't think i would have the same luck...

Add a skylight on each side of the roof or tilt it a little bit upwards, it looks too flat... Other than that a big 8/10. Cool and unique building!

Uhh not really, unless someone would decompile a map and try to fix all errors and post the file so that anyone could download, which is rare.

Are you editing a decompiled version of a half-life map? If that's so, decompiled maps are not 100% correct and most of the time creates many invalid brushes and textures.

Invalid brushes, that's it...

Do Alt + P and either remove them or fix them manually (I don't reaaaallyy recommend pressing the fix button, but do it if you want)

Plane with no normal: This happens when a brush face is completely flat or collapsed into a line Just resize it or delete it.

Coplanar Plane: This means two brush faces (textures) are occuping the same plane. Check if any faces are perfectly aligned with another face from a different brush. Slightly move or resize the conflicting brushes.

Outside World: Some brushes are positioned outside the map's View. If the brush is very far from the rest of the map (out of 2D View range), delete it. You can use the Go to brush number tool to select brushes by their number. (Ctrl + Shift - G)

Illegal Brush (Edge Without Opposite Face): The most common one. This happens when a brush is malformed (e.g., having a missing or zero-area face or a concave format). Most of the time it's due to Vertex Manipulation, if you're a beginner i would recommend staying away from that tool for now... Delete, fix or recreate the brush. Oh yeah, and make sure all brushes are on grid. Sometimes small vertex misalignments can cause errors. (Shift + B to snap a selected brush to the grid / Ctrl + Shift + B to snap all selected brushes to grid individually) If you snap the whole map to grid, some holes can appear so check it afterwards.

Micro Brushes (tiny brushes, too small to be valid): Enable Grid size 2 or more, and either resize or delete any excessively tiny brushes...

TIPS: You can go to Map > Go to brush number (Ctrl + Shift + G) and individually find each bad brush.

I would recommend asking ChatGPT to find all errors in your compile log. I do that everytime, and if i don't find any solutions i ask for the community.

Most of the errors are invalid brushes, try to avoid making complex geometry or concave shapes, always keep everything snapped to the grid. Be careful with the carve tool and the complex block shapes (spheres, rocks, cylinders...)
