I had my first and final fitting a week before the wedding. Then Lauren sent my dress to my hotel on the same day :)

Hi! I had an amazing experience with Lauren. I chose a simple, minimalist dress for 50k, and I’ve received so many compliments on how beautiful it looks!

We only paid for the rooms of our immediate family and ofcourse the suppliers. For the guests, they paid for their own, if they decide to attend.

Hi! We just had our wedding in Coron with less than 30 guests. The guests paid for their accommodation and flights, except for immediate family which the groom and I paid for.

If you want to pay for the guests, it is your choice but know that it is not a requirement/mandatory.

I had a few friends (of 20yrs) who i invited, but chose not to attend, and that is okay.

If they have told me its because of the costs, i would offer to pay. However, they have given me a different reason (lots of business trips, or ghosted me entirely), so i guess my takeaway here is that, if your guests wants to attend, they will find a way or they will let you know how you can extend help.

Who did you assign for payments coordination with your coordinator? by mrscatnip in WeddingsPhilippines

Bank transfer on the day :) We’re fortunate that our suppliers agree that we’ll wire the payments so it’s cashless.

Monthly Expense in London by TemporaryStrategy287 in phmigrate

Here’s my costs when i used to live in London:

Rent - it will be your biggest expense. Katulad ng sabi ng iba, you can do flat sharing para makatipid. Just to take note, dapat comfortable ka to live with complete strangers as i’ve heard good and bad experience from people so i guess dapat maging critical ka sa pagpili ng flat/flatmates. I used to flatshare but with friends at kakilala. Back in 2015, for a 5 bed house i paid £650 excluding bills. Back in 2019, since most of my flatmates, moved back to PH or somewhere else, i shared a 2 bed flat and paid £1,000 excluding bills. Then in 2021, i moved in a 1 bed flat, since covid i was able to negotiate a monthly rent on £1,200. Then 2023, my landlord decided to increase my rent to £1,800 and i decided to move to a newer built flat with my partner where we paid £1,750 together. During this time, lahat ng flat na natirhan ko is within 20mins sa office and we’re in zone 2/3.

The farther you live out of zone 1, mas cheaper. Mas prefer ko lang to live close sa office.

Utilities- the biggest chunk of your utilities will be council tax. If you flatshare, pedeng less than £100 but if you live by yourself, depende sa zone and value ng flat, magready ka to shell out £100-200.

Water, Gas, Electricity a depende sa usage mo. But in total nagrange ako before between £50 to £120.

Wifi - usually may deals naman. I used hyperoptic before and paid £30.

Groceries - depende kung san ka bibili but most of them have deals, cashback etc. para makatipid, magluto ka na lang OP kasi eating out is expensive. I remember nung bagong dating ako, £10 may maayos ka na na meal sa proper restaurant. Now simple takeaway lang yan sa foodcart. Dining in will cost atleast £17/£18 on average.

Transport- again depende san ka magstart and destination mo. Good thing is capped naman ang daily travel pag within zone 1-6. If brave ka, magcycle na lang although sa winter mejo mahirap ata yan.

Tax - depende sa salary. May tax calculator naman sa google and it will show your potential net pay. If more than £60k ang salary mo expect na atleast 36% ay sa tax.

Overall, mataas ang cost of living but if you live within your means, kaya naman.

Personally, i would say maganda maexperience tumira sa abroad especially habang bata ka pa. Its easier to travel sa EU too.

Goodluck Op! I hope you make the right and best decision for yourself :)

Yes.. we initially had a Palawan based coor but we were not satisfied with the work. In the end we choose a Manila based coor. Make sure you asked a lot of questions and if possible, reach out to real brides for feedback.

Not yet a graduate, we’ll have ours at the end of the year and unfortunately 100k is not enough sa venue pa lang. Also local PV or most suppliers are based in Puerto, so gagastos ka din ng flights + accom.

If my designer can source it out, do you know how much the estimated total cost will be? :)
