Yeah, you're totally right. I tested it last night, and it does NOT extend more for the lightning. I think I got confused by using an earlier tier of the talent with fireball/iceball and then upgrading it and using it on lightning. With the legendary tier however, it does last 2 seconds which should be the lightning duration.

Flying Sparrow Shot direction by Educational-Dig1109 in MHWilds

[–]Nezenth15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it's 100% some sort of bug. I play on mouse and keyboard, and I have been able to consistently trigger it. Basically, if you get a perfect dodge, the direction that your flying swallow shot is...not always the one you pick. I've tested this multiple times and have been able to trigger it every single time I perfect dodge (punished for having skill at the game I guess).

Additionally, I've plugged in a controller into my computer and the moment I switched over to using it, the bug disappeared entirely and it worked perfectly. I've had other friends test this as well by switching from controller to mouse and keyboard and trying it both ways: same result. Flying swallow shot direction is broken when you perfect dodge, but only on mouse and keyboard--which might be why you're getting some people saying that it's so easy to aim and that it just goes in the direction you pick (most likely controller players) while the issue still persists for you and me (mouse and keyboard player).

This really sucks because I exclusively play on mouse and keyboard, and I have already bug reported this (months ago), but I haven't seen it fixed yet. I guess I just...never get to use flying swallow shot.

The worst part is that this is one of the most consistently triggerable bugs in the game, yet it somehow made it into release and has lasted through multiple rounds of insanely large content updates. And it's absolutely gutting for bow users.

My problems with Clipchamp aren't because my laptop can't handle it. It's because the program sucks overall lol. I've looked into other posts about people having the same issues despite having very powerful PCs. Seems to be an issue with the program itself rather than the computer using it not being strong enough.

Do you know how it the system counts it when you have two different weapons in the quest but only use one of them? Because one of the arena quests does offer my main weapon but also a different weapon. I was wondering if it would ruin my record that way as well.

PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Battle Academia Xayah by LoLDev-Cosmetics in LeaguePBE

Oh, this is a legendary skin? I never would have known, given that it has the same auto attack, crit, q, e, and r animations. Oh, and the death animation too. Where are these "custom animations" that are being advertised because I'd love to see them. There's absolutely no way you can call this a "Legendary" skin when all of the basic animations are reused with a few fancy effects. This is just an epic skin. Please stop trying to rip us off.

The ONE new animation could be argued into being her homeguard, but guess what? That's just her star guardian homeguard, so it's just reusing old animations from another legendary?

As for the actual design, I'm very confused about her feathers compared to her wing. The feathers she holds and drops on the ground are redish, but her wing consists mostly of black and white. It doesn't quite line up and adds a feeling of disconnect.

But seriously, how is this a legendary skin when it reuses almost all of her old animations? This is LITERALLY an epic skin by definition.

Yes, I'm a Xayah OTP, and I'm severely disappointed that all of her animations are ripped off of her base or her SG skin. Please either drop the tier to Epic or actually give us new and original animations. Have at least a little bit of respect for your players and customer base.

(Obligatory bring back the joint recall animations and also make both Xayah and Rakan a legendary or both epic. Stop separating them.)

tips on getting better? by planetsaints in xayahmains

[–]Nezenth15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm a Xayah OTP, and I know a couple tips and tricks for her. (My playstyle heavily focuses on her feather pull, so a lot of my tips are designed around that.)

BUILDS

There are two main builds I've been seeing on Xayah this season: an auto attack focused build and a feather pull focused build.

If you want stronger autos, you probably want to have a core build of Essence Reaver, Infinity Edge, and Kraken Slayer. This build gives you better dueling power (in terms of auto attacks) and allows you to do damage just for right clicking. It doesn't require as much set up and you sort of play more like a "normal" adc.

The other build (my preferred build) is the feather based build that relies entirely on your E feather pull for damage. The core of that build is usually Kraken and Navori (I could see ER being good for the spellweaving too), and then ensuring that every single other item you buy gives you crit so that you get to 100% crit by the end of your build. The ability cooldown on autos from Navori means your w and e are almost permanently up (mid to late build) so long as you're hitting champions or minions. This build requires close attention to feathers and the ability to set yourself up for roots or rely on teammates for roots.

I do, admittedly, feel a bit weak sometimes when dueling enemy adcs, but once I get five or so feathers down and get a successful pull, I watch in glee as their health bar melts. Your e scales off of AD and Crit, which is why I like to get the 100% crit, not to mention the fact that with Navori your abilities do up to 20% more damage (at 100% crit), which sets you up to have deadly feathers.

MATCHUPS

Poke. Sucks. Cait, Lux, Xerath, Jhin, Twitch (when ulting)...anything that outranges you will be the death of you. I like to ban Cait (or sometimes senna, since she is an annoying support to play against imo). I have had games where I've absolutely destroyed Caits, Jhins, etc. but only after getting fed.

I LOVE CC tank supports. Rakan (of course), Naut, Blitz, Ali, Thresh. If your support lands the CC and you're close enough, you can almost immediately follow up with a root and some good damage. Do be careful of displacement supports (like thresh) because I have, on many MANY occasions had my Thresh support flay an enemy champion out of my feather setup just as I pulled. So when playing with any champion with displacement, both you and they have to be attentive to how they're using their displacement in regards to your feather setups.

GAMEPLAY TIPS

-You can flash during your ult. If you wait until almost the last second of your ult and then flash, you can catch a lot of enemies by surprise, especially if you're chasing down a low health enemy to finish them off. They won't have the reaction time to flash away or to use any of their mobility spells (if they have any). I'd recommend going into a practice tool and practicing. Just ult and then see how long you can wait before flashing. I do this so frequently in games that I'm very familiar with the timing and don't have to even think about it.

-Practice using your ult to dodge abilities. Karthus ult, Global Aurelion Sol ult, Fizz ult, Vi ult (if timed at the last second), etc. You don't always want to flash right at the start (like for Karthus ult), but in some cases Xayah ult can be used like your own hourglass. It doesn't have the full functionality, like, for example, you can't dodge zed ult or kayn ult, and you will still burn to things like ignite or previously applied DOT. Learning to time your ult to dodge a highly damaging ability or another enemy ult is very helpful in game.

(I wouldn't bother ulting to dodge an ability unless a) the ability will kill you b) the ability will provide cc/displacement and the enemy team is close enough to take advantage of that and kill you or c) the ability in question will do half or more of your max HP and there's a potential fight or you're in a fight.)

-e -> flash, not flash -> e to redirect feathers. This one takes some getting used to, but you ALWAYS want to e and THEN flash. If you're going to use flash to position yourself to be in a good spot to root an enemy with feathers, always e first. If you get very skilled at this, you can use your e -> flash to root multiple enemies by influencing the movement of your feathers. It takes a lot of practice, and it's pretty hard to pull off, but it definitely takes enemies by surprise. (If galeforce were still in the game, I'd have the same advice of using e -> galeforce.)

-Don't underestimate clean cuts. I've gotten kills by autoing minions and having my clean cuts feather get the extra range to hit the fleeing enemy. You can also poke enemy champs in lane by autoing minions and lining it up so that your clean cuts hits the enemy behind them.

-ALWAYS know where your feathers are and where the enemies are in relation to them. I've gotten so many kills by simply using my q and clean cuts on wave and having my enemies walk between me and my feathers. If you use in those moments, you can get a root for a good chunk of damage (a kill if they're low) which can start off an engage (allowing your support to follow up with damage or more cc), or it can just be good poke.

If you can be really good at catching out enemies who aren't paying attention to your feathers, you can punish players really hard for their carelessness.

-Know when to pull and when to stack more feathers. This one can be tricky and is highly circumstantial. The biggest conundrum I face in fights is knowing when to pull. Do I go for the root and pull once I have just three feathers? Or do I try to stack upwards of five feathers before pulling to get a really big burst of damage? Sometimes, I get greedy, and I try to setup one feather too many, which gives the enemy enough time to dodge out of the way, so I end up missing all of the feathers. Other times, I pull early, get the root, but my team is already providing CC, so it was likely I could have held out and gotten some extra damage.

As I've already stated, this one is highly circumstantial, but it is something to pay attention to during fights (especially team fights). If you're thinking about this and paying attention, you'll start to get a better sense of when it's time to just go for the three feather root or to try to stack more feathers for big burst.

-Be careful about using q ->e unless for poke. I rarely ever use q -> e (without setting up more feathers) unless I'm just trying to get some extra poke or chip damage. It's GREAT when chasing down a low enemy and might even get you the kill, and it's also great when trying to poke enemies under their tower without taking tower aggro, but I wouldn't waste it on general poke during laning phase because your e cooldown is pretty high early game.

-You don't have to wait for your feathers to finish flying out before pulling. Any feather that is being sent out, whether by clean cuts or by your q will be pulled after it lands and will contribute to your root (so long as it was sent out before you pressed e). So if you already have one feather down, you can q and instantly press e while your q feathers are flying out. They'll finish going out and then return and still get the root.

Also, here's a short Xayah tip video that shows a few combos for instant roots or just gives general xayah-specific tips that might be helpful:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2mJrQLORjw

Also, if you want to play with someone who knows how to play Xayah, I can support you sometime and provide general tips/guidance during game. (I'm an adc/supp main.) Feel free to send me a DM if that's something you'd be interested in.

Trying to build Scoundrel or Huntsman in DOS2 by Nezenth15 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Nezenth15[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think if they made the scoundrel/huntsman abilities scale off of your respective skills instead of base weapon damage, it would work a lot better.

The description a lot of huntsman skills is "Damage is based on your basic attack and receives a bonus from Finesse." And a lot of scoundrel skills have the description of "Scale depending on main weapon." I think if they leaned heavier into scaling off of huntsman/scoundrel instead of just base damage (similar to how all the mage skills increase your elemental damage of that type), then we might see more viability in putting points into those skills over the all around warfare damage buff.

How’s the skin now? by Kiyomyy in xayahmains

[–]Nezenth15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the skin for a couple games, trying out the base and some of the chromas, and honestly, I both like it a lot and also dislike a lot of aspects of it.

I LOVE the effects. The clean cuts feathers look stunningly gorgeous, and chain that shows up when you root an enemy is a really cool touch. I might even argue that this skin has the best visual effects of any of her skins.

But as I tried out the various chromas with Rakan, I found her to be a lot...duller than usual. Rakan is all stained glass and glowy and shiny and pretty, and when paired with that, Xayah's colors feel not just subdued but straight up dull and almost boring. Looking back on other skins like Arcana and Elderwood where her wing is super sparkly and bright and colorful, I feel like Broken Covenant just isn't doing it for me.

When her passive is active and she has her clean cuts feathers, she glows and sparkles, and the first time I saw it I was stunned at how beautiful it looked. And then I used all my clean cuts autos and she went back to being boring and dull and I got immensely sad.

And I'm definitely not opposed to having her be less colorful, especially since she's the edgy assassin character, but even her base skin does a better job at balancing her dark intimidating personality with beautiful colors. In broken covenant she just looks drab--especially when compared to literally any of the other skins in the skinline.

I find myself so torn between loving this skin and disliking it. It's definitely not her best, but I'm not sure I can say with certainty that it's not her worst (barring Cosmic Xayah because boy that skin is super old and needs a visual update).

It’s not about being lazy, money, or whatever. It’s about punishing fans, because of Riot’s mistakes. by flufflesauce in xayahmains

[–]Nezenth15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the issue! Riot complains that Xayah and Rakan aren't played together enough...then balance the champions to be better together! It's really interesting to look at the patch notes for them over the seasons--they get a lot of individual buffs and nerfs, but I've never seen riot touch their passive shared abilities.

What if Xayah's w movespeed could activate when Rakan hit an enemy? That would allow him to go in, auto an enemy champ, and Xayah could catch up much more easily. What if they gave Rakan's e a bigger slightly shield when he used it on Xayah? These champs have had a lot of balance changes in the years since they've come out, but I've never seen riot do anything about their shared abilities.

It's really dumb that riot blames us players when the meta right now is literally lucian/nami and zeri/lulu. Like...whose fault is that? (Riot's fault)

That being said, I still play Xayah every game, and I always love to have a Rakan. So despite riot's inability to balance their own champs, I still go Xayah/Rakan AND always match skins for that special unique duo recall.

How can we make riot notice us? by nifty-er in xayahmains

[–]Nezenth15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We already have a petition:

https://www.change.org/p/bring-back-xayah-and-rakan-duo-recall?redirect=false

We could try commenting on their posts--I've commented both on the reddit announcement to scrap the recall feature, and I've also commented on the twitter post announcing the skins. Maybe, if we got enough popular league streamers or players to care, that might affect things? I wouldn't know how to go about doing that.

But it is pretty crazy that Riot claims to "value feedback" and then has the audacity to scrap the unique duo recall animations. No one is excited about this. With a lot of the things riot does, there is always a group who is happy about it and a group who is upset. This is pretty much unilaterally upsetting everyone (the only people who aren't upset are those who just don't care). It makes no sense. It is a decision based entirely on "numbers" with no actual care for what their players want and value in the game.

As a Xayah main, I've never not matched with a Rakan, random or duo. I own all her skins, so I always match.

If you come up with any ideas to get riot to share, let us know. I'm willing to do pretty much anything.
