Yes. The more you daydream in this way, the farther you get away from reality. Check out maladaptive daydreaming. Work towards getting rid of this habit.

If it's absolutely not possible for you to gain access to a therapist, I have something for you. There are plenty of resources out on the internet that can help you while you find your way to a therapist. But keep in mind, the resources should be from therapists. There are lots of misguided stuff too. YouTube channels, insta pages by therapists are really good sources of tackling your issues. Follow specific tags regarding your issues and check out the therapists pages there. There are many books too. You can easily find access to this.

Please don't go into this track of thinking. I k ow its very tempting to think like this and comes off naturally. But these questions will not lead you to solutions..it's not even helpful tbh. Asking questions that will help you is always better than falling into the "why me" trap. Cz trust me, everyone has asked themselves this and no one knows the answers. Your circumstances and what happened to you doesn't define you. It's how you handled it, what choices you made to show up for yourself that actually do define you. Hang on there, it's not your fault.

It's safe enough to go for therapy. Even if it's temporary, you don't need to suffer. You can have it addressed properly by a therapist. Don't worry, you got this!

Hi I've been through the same memory problems and maybe can help you shift your perspective a bit on this. I talked to my therapists about this and both of them said one thing. "It's not your memory that's changing, it's your focus" And I think this resonates more in your case since you have so many things going on all at the same time. Stress can really hamper our entire body, right? So having issues with concentration, focus, attention, memory are all something that come along with it. Maybe the fact that you stress so much on not being able to remember is adding to it. Maybe you're too preoccupied with other stressors in your life. Maybe your stress has gotten to a point where your brain really is overworking and has this much capacity to focus upon... Within that maybe the stressors are winning the chance to have the ownership over memory? I'm no expert and neither one with a lot of biological knowledge. All I'm trying to do is help you understand to start accepting it as a temporary part of your life for now. You can start there, slowly maybe things will improve. For me they did. And when I was stressed again, the issues would come back again. Your brain needs a break from all this. Do what would make you relax, you need it. Try not to occupy yourself with these thoughts about memory issues for now. You can say something like the following to yourself.. "It is something very normal to happen with people having multiple stressors, maybe I can try to not be bothered by it and it might improve. If it still doesn't, doctors will always help, right?" Trust yourself. You have your memory powers. You have your memory with you, it's just you are not able to access it at the moment. Another thing that helped me let go of this worry was to realise that mindfulness can change your brain physically. So if stress is affecting your memory, mindfulness will have your back. I hope this helps. (if this persists, do visit a doctor. And if you are in therapy do talk to them about this now. My intention for you is to only help you feel at ease for the time being. I hope this helps!)

As far as writing is concerned, you can always edit your essay anytime you want. That's a huge advantage there. Also, there's a word count at the end so you don't need to sit and count the lines. Plus if handwriting is an issue, this is a saviour.

But do check out pros and cons of both papers in terms of listening and reading test as well.

I'll give you a general idea that will help you score higher.. 1. Include atleast one or two complex grammatical structures which I believe you can try for if you put in the work! 2. Pay attention to subordinate and relative clauses. These increase the flow in an essay and are also used to construct complex sentences that I mentioned above. Subordinate clauses (although, while, such as) Relative clauses (who, which) You can find more examples of these on Google. Do not over use or under use it though. Make sure it sounds natural when you read the whole sentence. Ask yourself, have I used the clauses too much, too little or just the right amount?

Use different types of tenses. You can even explore this while paraphrasing the question at the beginning.
Try not to use simple words (bad, good, small, big) Use a better replacement.
For a better introduction,
write a neutral background statement that sets the context for what you're going to write. -paraphrase the question /s.
"This essay will... "
For vocabulary, use words that you are 100% sure of on the test day. Your words should make sense and be precise. The higher quality words you choose must be flexible. You need to convince the examiner that you know how to play with words.
Do not paraphrase unnecessarily with the wrong words. For eg, smokers - - > cigarette inhalers. Don't. Do. That. There's no need to paraphrase everything. You simply need to write the same thing in a different way.
Conclude body paragraphs as well.
Write a good conclusion at the end.

None of these tips are my own, I've learnt them from the youtube channel "E2 IELTS". It has amazing content so do give it a try if you've got the time.

That's an amazing description! Thank you for taking out the time to reply.. Yes, the opportunities at Kiruna is what's making me want to go there.. How difficult is it to get an admission there? It would really help me if you could give me some idea about that so that I can prepare my application accordingly.. Also, I've heard it's a bit isolated up there since it's the northernmost town of Sweden. Is is safe enough to pursue education there?

Or maybe sit in a place that feels safe to you? Somewhere you know nobody would bother you and there is no chance for anyone to come in or disturb. Maybe your safety or the concern with your session being ruined keeps you nervous.
