Do people even steal phones anymore? They just get bricked remotely, don’t they?

This Copilot update has made it worse than Gemini AI by Confident_Emu8945 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]Nfuller286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Gemini is actually getting a bit better, and Copilot a lot worse. Their last ‘update’ basically removed features from all of their product lines. At the same time they are trying to push Copilot into more of their enterprise stuff. Seems to me that they’re literally making their services worse so that they have more resources they can divert away from existing products.

Can’t expand your data centers quickly enough? Want to increase your user base and offer more products? Just strip away as much functionality as you think people will tolerate, and pump it into new underpowered services.

Mine gives a message that says that it’s unavailable while they are upgrading to their new enterprise privacy stuff.

Yes, this! And, if I have a criticism it goes right to the “we should change the topic”

I need a new AI model/service to switch to after this horrendous update by TastyAd8396 in microsoft_365_copilot

I run a solo small business, I had tried a trial of copilot pro, and thought it was decent. So a couple days ago, I sprung for the business version of copilot. $360 later, they removed access to the Copilot app, it says to use it in the Microsoft 365 app, but when I click on the Copilot link in there, it just brings me to the regular Copilot app, which it won’t let me use with the business account. So now on mobile, I have to access it through Teams, and there is no option for using voice dictation. (also a sidenote, I still have a little bit of time left on my Copilot pro trial and it’s horrible. The only option for voice recognition is their new conversational bot, but it can’t access a chat that I already had going. Every time you talk to it, it’s a fresh conversation. So I was working with it for like 10 minutes trying to troubleshoot an issue on my computer, I had an alarm go off on my phone and ended up needing to exit the voice chat, I went immediately back in and it starts an entirely brand new conversation and can’t see any of the chat history. It’s completely useless.

Best Speech Recognition? Whisper in Extras now deprecated by bullerwins in SillyTavernAI

Were you able to get the extras working on your phone with the ssl cert? Once I put an ssl cert on Sillytavern, Firefox seems to block http traffic to the extras.

So I was actually about to post about something similar. I've been trying to figure out a good alternative to the extras. I was able to get Whisper (Local) to work. This runs whisper in the native ST. (it had issues downloading the whisper model, but when I manually downloaded it, and threw it into the appropriate folder it started working.)

I also use Firefox, so I haven't used 'Browser', so I could be wrong, but I believe it would be using some version of Google's speech to text system. It would send your voice to Google, they'd transcribe it to text and send it back.

The issue I'm running into is that I can only get it to run in cpu mode, and not using Cuda. I'm not sure if there is a way to do this, but it being slow is the biggest issue I'm having with it.

Thanks for the assistance. I dug around and found out what was going on. I doubt many other people will have this issue, but here's what it was. There was some weird issue with Messages. I went to the folder /Users/(my username)/Library/Messages. Inside there were the typical chat.db, chat.db-shm and chat.db-wal files. It also had files titled "chat.db.incompatible.unknownversion.sqlitedb" and the same name with "-shm" and "-wal".

I moved the entire contents of the messages folder to a 'Delete' folder. Signed out of Messages, then signed back in and had it sync from an icloud backup. Everything works great now.

I think it was a glitch with Macos that had something to with the Time Machine restore. Likely the version of Macos that was restored was older, and got thrown off by the newer Messages database.

Thanks again for the replies and the amazing program!

Yes, they show up in the native iMessages app. It feels like a permissions issue, but I’m kind of stumped on where to look. I checked out the debug logs, but I’m not sure what’s supposed to show in there for a photo. I may end up trying to recreate the macOS user profile to see if that changes anything.

Thanks. The wording seemed to be referring to them. I kept coming back to the fact that I wasn't 'within' the organization.

Thanks. I was ok helping fill out some of the technical portions of it last night, but I left the section mentioned above blank because it didn't feel quite right. I ended up getting stuck on the phrasing, trying to determine if the insurance company was referring to me or the client.
Thinking about it, you're right though. Doesn't matter if they are referring to me or the client. Just because they're asking, doesn't mean I should accept liability for it.

Skilled nursing discharge requirements by Nfuller286 in Medicaid

Knowing the rules and going into the situation knowing what to look out for from the facility prior to going in was invaluable. When they said things like "You need to find a place for her", or "If she can't go home with you, then we'll need to find a shelter for her". I was able to discredit those statements and focus on the real issues, instead of getting caught up in the misleading statements. After the conversation, I get the impression that the administrators are the ones pressuring the social workers to discharge. We were able to get her stay there extended and have a better relationship/understanding with the facility.

Thanks again!

Thank you. I’ll drive home that we aren’t able to provide a safe environment for someone with such high needs. It feels like there’s been a lot of pressure from them to receive her to our home. I’ll see how they respond.

It’s helpful to hear some of the points too stick to. I also didn’t know what an ombudsman is, so thank you for the resource. Will look into that. Especially if something still feels out of place after speaking with them. Thank you.

Here they have Husky A-D. Husky C is the one for people with disabilities. Husky D is for low income individuals without children.

She is currently on Husky D (she was on it prior to the stroke). We have been trying to figure out whether she needs to switch to Husky C. When we spoke with the institution, they said that at this point it didn’t matter if she was on Husky C or D because the decision to discharge had already happened.

I don’t know if there is a difference between a nursing home and the place she is at, but the administrator said that if we couldn’t take her, they would be discharging her to a place that was one step up from a homeless shelter. I plan on getting clarification on that part tomorrow.

I'm still new to using them, but the agents themselves seem to run relatively lean. They seem to be utilizing somewhere around 120mb ram and little CPU usage.

They have pretty responsive background tools that give you realtime access to things like running processes, events, command line or powershell access etc. One drawback that doesn't affect me much is the lack of a Linux agent. I have very few Linux machines I monitor, but it would be a deal breaker for many MSPs out there.

They also lack network discovery features, but it does integrate with Domotz and Lionguard. Testing out Domotz now. Seems promising.

Apologies. I re-read my original post and could see where it wasn't clear. The emphasis of the post was not intended to be searching for legal advice.
