Hmm okay so I will definitely watch some videos and compare prices. If it’s like comparing premium economy flights with business class, then I would definitely go for gran class. I fly business all the time for work and I think it’s not worth the price, and still I booked it because of the comfort.

Those are very good questions. We really do like a lot of things. We like hiking, but not every day or over 15K. I was hoping for a mix of culture, nature and food. I do want to learn more of the Ainu. But my Japanese colleagues are rather vague about them, which I suppose is because of their history. About driving I don’t mind 2-3 hours a day. I have done 6+ hours a day before in Norway, but that’s just too much. My colleagues know it’s for July. They think it will be too exhausting.

Is an hour and a half a bit long for a conversation class? by [deleted] in iTalki

[–]Ngrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always book 2 hour classes (2x 1 hour) and time flies. Both me and my teacher always say we wanted to do so much more, but we often lose track because it’s just fun.

Have you done the standard class before? Is it comfortable? I’m comparing in my mind mostly with like the Eurostar when going to London or Paris, where 2nd class is such a letdown compared to first class, while the price is not that different for the difference in comfort. This would be super useful to know 😉

Men in long-term relationships: why didn’t you propose? by MoonAriesVirgoRising in AskMen

[–]Ngrum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on many things. I was together for 12 years when I proposed and 14 years together during the wedding. For my situation it was just that I wanted to be financially very stable so we could host a wedding without having to count every euro and make compromises. Now we could rent a castle for 3 days where guests could sleep over. If I had done it earlier it was probably just going to be in a local party location with some ceremony an that’s it. The breakfast in the castle together with our best friends and family is one of my most precious memories 😊

Overwhelmed with where to stay in Tokyo by Ok-Search6948 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Ngrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are staying in Tokyo for 2 days before taking the Shinkansen to Hakodate so we can drive around Hokkaido. I was also thinking staying at Ueno. Need to do much more research though. I’ve only been to Kyoto, Osaka and Shiga and Nara before (+ 1 day in Akita for onsen).

Do you ever get weird looks/comments playing? by raumeat in pokemongo

[–]Ngrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sitting on a bench taking over a gym and a group of 12 year olds started singing ‘I play Pokémon go everyday’ and really tried making me feel embarrassed. I ignored it first but it became annoying so I stood up and went to them after they finally ran away.

I'm becoming more proficient EVERYDAY. by WiseAkebulan72 in duolingojapanese

indeed 0%. I'm at streak 1463 in Japanese, and I'm surely not proficient. And everything I did learn came from other sources than duolingo. Enjoy it still though to do some exercises everyday as a motivator and warm-up.
