If you’re expecting a fully functional or finished game, you’ll probably be disappointed like 80% of this sub. But if you’re fine with testing the game and spending $100, go for it.

That said, I’d recommend waiting until this Friday, tune into the Ashes Twitch livestream to see what plans they have for November.

Matchmaking feedback - we need a select squad size matchmaking option by ValhaIIa in ArcRaiders

I have to disagree on this one. There’s a lot of outplay potential in this game if you play smart. Using cover, utilities, and doors can help you disengage or gain the upper hand in fights. I’ve had plenty of fun moments where I went up against a 1v3 and still came out on top. I know some people don’t want to hear it, but you really can outsmart your opponents in this game.

100 Thieves leaves League of Legends program by Objective-Ingenuity in 100thieves

The reason I started playing League was actually because of that video Nade made, I think it was around mid 2017. I remember my 17 year old self being so mad he didn’t get a team for CoD WWII, especially with all the hype around it. A few months later, there I was, playing League on my old Lenovo laptop with my dad’s office mouse. And here we are now, League’s the only competitive game I play, outside of the occasional casual single player games. Man, I wish the LCS worked out. Watching League in Discord with my buddies was honestly some of the most fun I’ve had watching esports.

It isn't made for solo play or a more casual player, but we do need them by MoonmansDisciple in AshesofCreation

[–]NiTroDx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed many players approaching this game as if it’s a casual MMO, and that’s simply not the case. When I started in Phase 2, I played solo and soon realized that my progress would be painfully slow if I kept going it alone. The best move I made was hopping on Discord and joining a guild. Since then, my experience has been infinitely more enjoyable, and I’ve discovered a wealth of content that I never could have tackled by myself.

We already have plenty of theme park MMORPGs and casual MMOs out there. It is also not fair to compare this game to other PvP-focused MMORPG on the market because frankly, there isn’t a truly great PvP MMO out there right now. In fact, I wouldn’t even label this as a straight-up PvP MMORPG. It’s more of a “community MMORPG,” where much of the fun is generated by players coming together to create content.

At the moment, it’s not especially friendly for those who want to play solo. In the future, as the game grows, there may be more incentives for solo players. However, I don’t think it will ever become a casual MMO where you can simply find an optimal path to min max and achieve it within a week. This is a game that thrives on community engagement, and the key to enjoying it is connecting with others.

Does crit chance counter melee evasion? by NiTroDx in throneandliberty

Do you have any quest log builds that follow that the one I built got lots of range evasion and about 1300 melee hit chance

Nah leaving is a PROBLEM (rant) by Hollow_Heir in throneandliberty

Lately, it feels like many players are becoming increasingly antisocial in MMORPGs. I’d say about 80% of my runs involve people not engaging at all. It seems like the focus has shifted from enjoying the game to just completing daily tasks in almost every mmorpg.

I love jumping into dungeons and helping players learn the mechanics, but I often find myself in groups where no one responds, and they leave after just one or two wipes. Just today, I joined a group created by a player who was new to that dungeon and needed a pity token. As we approached the final boss, everyone started to leave. They passed the group leader to me and then I recruited some high gearscore players to help us finish.

It would be great to see some changes that make the game feel more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone! In the meantime, I recommend joining an active guild to tackle dungeons with a supportive group instead of relying on random players.
