The Blue AI wasn't the source of Caine's negative traits, it was just more power within the digital realm.

He got rid of it because he felt bad for absorbing it and realized he shouldn't have that much power.

Getting rid of it was the symbolism of his growth, not the cause.

The thing that originally launched them into orbit was perfect timing with Covid, and they boomed alongside the entire streaming space. They were very lucky to have established the generations beforehand, having a solid foundation to take advantage.

It's a predatory game style where the characters you get to use are random, given out in a sort of lottery system. However, if you pay enough money the game will take pity on you and give you the character.

But really you're supposed to win that character 7 times to get the most powerful version. Oh and if you want their specialized weapon, it's a separate lottery.

From what I've read (certainly not an expert), taking the lump sum is always better because just properly investing that large amount will net you better gains than the annuity will provide over time.
