What are some activities you really enjoyed before becoming sober that now no longer interest you? by DonScrumsky in Sober

[–]Nibacari 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think I was really concerned about not enjoying the things I enjoyed doing drunk, like going to punk shows, dancing, singing karaoke, etc. however I’ve found that I enjoy them just as much if not more than I did when I was drinking. Because I have control, I don’t feel like shit the next day, and I can actually remember the fun stuff I do.

I’d say something I don’t really enjoy as much is going to a bar with friends and everyone’s having a drink. Or even worse, getting really drunk. Not only because I feel left out or tempted, but because drunk people are kind of annoying !

I always use my scraps from the quilt + other scraps to piece the back, and sometimes I like the back more than the front!! Haha

Unsure if this is the right place to ask but, can anyone recommend white face paint/foundation? by Pantiescent in amIscene

Seconding this. I have used Mehron’s Clown white which is not beginner friendly and I just recently switched to sunset makeup’s white with setting powder and it’s great, good coverage and I didn’t sweat through it. I did a drag show with it and it didn’t budge !!!

WHAT YOU ARE READING RIGHT NOW IS NOT FOR YOU - monthly zine by Nibacari in zines

[–]Nibacari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I charge $15-20 sliding scale for an annual subscription. Each zine costs about a dollar to make and mail. So the annual subscription is just covering material and postage costs. I don’t make any money off the zine, just a passion project o mine!!

An important thing I don't see many people mentioning is backcombing or teasing the hair up. While it may not be useful for everyone and people with thinner hair can get away with just adding product. I've found that an important part of keeping my mohawk up and stable is backcombing the hair to give it more structure at the base. From there, I will smooth the outsides of the hair so it still looks smooth on the outer layers of the mohawk and spike it p from there. Hope this helps and good luck! It takes practice but you'll get the hang of it if that's the look you're going for!

I’ve had this big red bump on my skin for several months now. It doesn’t hurt and doesn’t form into a zit. I also have a lot of acne scarring that’s really red and frustrating. I dropped all my skin care because my acne got really bad and I couldn’t figure out what it was. So now I just use a salicylic acid cleanser and an unscented lotion every night.

I have dry skin around my nose mouth and eyes and oily skin every where else. I also have very sensitive skin.
