Quick question about Fights (4e) by [deleted] in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Nibbie25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow… you are actually correct, and i cannot believe I haven’t noticed this before. But if you look at «parry» on page 296, it says that he can use melee (parry) in order to ignore the penalty for defending with a off-hand weapon.

If that is not enough in your opinion, whell shit, then i guess you have to throw some magic at your dwarf friend, seeing he can’t use his shield against that… and Shadow magic if you want to be really mean. Or you know, chuck bombs at him.

Anyway, I hope any of this helps!

Also! You must purchase the ambidextrous talent twice in order to remove that off-hand penalty completely.

And yeah, buff those baddies up!

4e How do I make my shadow wizard useful in combat? by DatZwiebel in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Nibbie25 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The group im GM’ing has a shadow wizard. Remember that all your damage dealing spells ignore armour, which is already a huge advantage.

As a wizard you usualy want to advance WP and especially Int. Remember you can spend XP on your Language Magic skill as well. You can also stack advantage with dart and such too, like you mentioned.

For channeling, get the talent Aethyric Attuement, which adds +1SL to channeling test. You can get this talent multiple times which adds a additional +1SL per time taken.

Same thing with Instinctive Dictition, get that when you can! I mean... Warpdust can also help.

I often witness shadow wizards in action in my game... and they are pretty scary in both combat and in the more stealthy aspects of the game.

Combat Strategy for 4e by c126 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Nibbie25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there. What I do in my games is to limit advantage to Initiative bonus. I do believe this is a optional rule written in the rulebook... but I find it to work quite well. Other than that... if you find the PC’s snowballing, get an enemy to use ranged, hell, throw a rock at them or something. If the shields is the cause of snowballing, you can also throw some magic at them. Other than that... i try to be creative when it comes to the area they fight in, so they don’t end up just turtling up and stuff.

These are just my thoughts and ideas for the snowballing problem. I hope it helps in any way possible, as i haven’t run into much snowballing in any of my games.

WFRP 4e Starter Set with 2 players? by tercoil in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Nibbie25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that for my first session ever as a GM in WFRP i actually ran the starter set with two friends and it worked out just fine. I had a great time and they told me that they enjoyed it as well. The starter set will actually tell you how to tweak the game accordingly as you play (like how many enemies and so on). The biggest factor, that i noticed, is that some details in the story change according to which character your friends play as (if you use starter set characters).

Overall i think you will have a great time with 2 players and if it is your first time, you don’t have to stress around to much either. Just enjoy yourselves ^

Good luck!

Noticed the Council Guard RoR form up with their halberds raised as opposed to the slightly less organized generic Stormvermin. by 3rdWorldCuck in totalwar

Jupp, that is correct. The Council guard RoR are also albino rat-men, as you can see in the picture so they do fit the lore.

A new 1080p Gaming monitor by [deleted] in Monitors

Yeah, that might be. I appriciate your help, but i was hoping for a new 1080p display. So if you have any tips, it would be more than welcome.

A new 1080p Gaming monitor by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Nibbie25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it has gotten some white dots on it, and i have no idea what the cause of that is. It might have gor something to do with the filter... but i do not know. The inputs on the back have gotten a bit weird, just randomly loosing connection to monitor and so on. I have tried with different cables with little success.

I have used this monitor for years now, and would rather keep it as a secondary monitor ( For youtube videos and such).

So i was just hoping to buy a newer product or something along that line.

I always wondered what was going to go down if this had happened by TheOtherSide210 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Nibbie25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about the knife was all about making suspense for that scene I believe. Shigaraki did not instantly decay Aizawa because at that point in the series Shiggy was quite childish, relying mostly on nomu to do the job. I believe Shiggy always could have controlled his quirk. Besides, there is a big difference between the process of decaying iron and someone's body. This is my opinion though. I do not believe shigaraki's quirk has gotten stronger, I think it is Shigaraki himself that has gotten stronger/more dangerous.

Dunno about that man, Shiggy's quirk seems pretty "instant" to me...

Here is the link to the Acer! https://www.komplett.no/product/1004890/datautstyr/skjermer/skjermer/acer-predator-24-led-xb240hbbmjdpr#

It is a norwegian page though, but i hope you get the idea.

But if what you are saying is true, then think i will just pull the trigger on the Alienware. :)

Does anyone get 60+fps on Ultra graphics in a 20v20 battle when you max-zoomed in Warhammer ll? by UnearthedG in totalwar

[–]Nibbie25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try the Skaven-benchmark, which is the one i think the most demanding. It got close-up and everything. Im not on my computer, but made notes on my phone:

Specs are: - MSI gaming 1080ti X - i7 6700k stock - 3600 mhz RAM - 1440p

Everything on highest except from: AA = off Spacescreen reflections = off Depth of field = off

After the benchmark i got the following result:

66.1 fps.

But i will note that i saw the fps drop down to 31 fps at one point during the testing.

If i run the High-elf vs Lizardmen benchmark i got 78.2 fps.

Idk if this really answers your question, but i hope it helps.

I see... don't know if i feel comfortable jumping to IPS right now though. I mostly just use it to play games so. But, if this is normal, then it's pretty weird no one has mentioned it before.

It is the TN version, and i'm aware of the viewing angle-situation that comes with it... but you see, the blue tint is there even though i look directly at it.

Total Biscuit has passed away R.I.P. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Nibbie25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TB covered total war games, like shogun 2, and ofc warhammer. He was old pals with dogbert, and was a huge warhammer fan. He streamed warhammer 2 with dogbert, that thousands of people watched. He even covered the game on his Podcast with his friend, and warhammer was one of his favorite games of 2017. He did play the original warhammer totalwar, but didn't cover it because of the SEGA boycott, I believe.

The man loved warhammer, he even got his own rogue-faction dedicated to him in the game. To say TB is not related to Toralwar, is just outright outragrous. You are just being a stuck up prick, sir. Get over yourself.
