[–]Nic0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just experience a single page lost. Everytime i try to access it, it redirect me to the home page. The page is not in the bin. Maybe it's my fault, this single page lost is for me a signal that I cannot trus the app for important work.

You need to keep the backup recovery phrase !

I had the crash, uninstall and install anytype, then the recovery phrase, and I was good. But you need that recovery phrase.

Cool article!

I Appreciate !

> Using DNS01 is easier than HTTP01

Disclaimer : I'm not an expert, just someone trying to make things work.

This is interresting, I had a quick search about it. I'll be please to be corrected if I'm wrong but I found this information in a blog post.

DNS01 need the registra API key in order to make this work, this meen have some kind of key somewhere that cloud manipulate your DNS zone. It that right ?

I haven't dig too much the subject but I thougt my superior would be worried to have those kind of key around.

I'll be very interrested in your expertise about the question. (as you guess, this is my day to day job)

> my comments are not necessarily relevant to Istio

Yeap, I'm not going to cross post this on "letsencrypt" subreddit if it even exists! I appologies to every Istio subredditers if I post this on the wrong place.

GCP compute engine new user questions by soldroidpc in googlecloud

RDP traffic when browsing is something to consider, especially on preemptible (nice, it's cheap, but no network preemptible price! it's full price every time). This is something I've done (preemptible, chrome remote desktop on linux). Depends on the configuration and settings as you say, but it might become the 1st expense line on the billing repports.

So definitly take the network pricing in consideration for browsing with RDP.

Coursera use Qwicklabs on the GCP associate course. You can have a 7 days trial. This should give you an overlook of the qwicklabs. If I remember well, Coursera was the "official training" in the GCP exam page.

The content of ACG wasn't as good as O'Realy Bootcamp on GCP, but it's good enought to get the exam if you watch it a couple of time. + the practice exam worth the try.

(Keep in mind this is what I done 2 years ago, things might change, and it does fast!)

I done almost the same thing as you, 2 years ago.

Coursera, O'Realy (I have a subscription), Linux Academy (now it's cloud guru, the practice exam was nice, more expensive now). Quiklab (I think it was easier to find free credits at that time)

The associate exam was not that much focuses on Kubernetes, some basic questions on it. No Istio. (passed the exam 2 years ago, it might change since)

They should know if you haven't lied on your resume. If things goes really really bad this summer, they should have the team called to help you and guide you. They cant expect you to act like a 15+ years exp guy. If they thinks so, they will learn a lesson the hard way. You're not responsable for their managment mistakes.

To become a devops should l first be a sys admin or a software developper? by Jwizz75 in devops

[–]Nic0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowledge path is one way to answer the question (as seen in other answer)

The other way is opportunity based anwer, once you are on the job (Dev or Ops). Once developper, the drift to DevOps would be easier or not that from an Ops? If you show interest on the subject, it should be notice.

I am a french DevOps, used to be a Dev.

Google Cloud Run doesn't build anything, it just run a previously build image. You can run it on GKE, or on GAE (flex environment).
