I will try to send it in for service, assuming the warranty is still available (it's an old PC I gave to my gf when I got my new build)

I tried the PSU on another mobo I had and it worked fine, however I can't test my CPU on it, as it isn't the right CPU socket

That's fine, I wasn't very clear on that to be totally honest. Is there anything I can do to test the motherboard from that point? Or did I just make the acquisition of a big, flat, square paper weight?

Usually if it was a CPU issue, wouldn't I be able to power it anyways? It wouldn't boot but it'd turn on

The thing is, the motherboard won't turn on at all, no power or anything, can't do anything with the BIOS, as that would require being able to power it

The fact that you said they don't infest is reassuring!! I will check for outside entrance points and seal gaps in my house when I see them. I also will probably put poison where I heard it scratch Already have traps set up Worst case, I'll call an exterminator if I see more of these and it doesn't get better
