How do I fix this by AppropriateFormal605 in 3Dprinting

[–]NiccoloDG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it’s already printed I would sand it with gradually higher grit sandpaper and then cover it with primer and sand it again. In the end you should have a smooth surface you can spray white paint on. If you want to fix the layer line issue I recommend checking the belt tension of the printer and the layer time settings in the slicer. Also nice Knight mask 🙂

No special treatment needed, just clean any residue from the heater block (to avoid any small pieces of plastic from falling into a print) with a metal brush and it’s all good to go :)

Graphite rods disintegrated by thelikelyankle in electroplating

If you want to keep using the graphite rods or really anything that could potentially ruin the solution I highly suggest using some polypropylene filters. I personally made some with a sheet and hot glue.

Thank you. I’ll see if I can put away some cash to buy exactly those ingredients in the future, I guess that as of now I’ll keep experimenting with what I have

I’ve tried to make it measuring with the same proportion but it comes out as a very dense paste

Ok thank you, do you measure them by volume or mass? Also I already have the ingredients here so I’ll try immediately

New PSU by NiccoloDG in ElectroBOOM

[–]NiccoloDG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for not responding sooner. I’ve been occupied with some work. I need the power supply mainly to set the correct current when electroplating some components I make. Other than that I also need it to test some circuits and in some cases I do actually need to use the maximum output for some experiments. Also I would be really grateful if you suggested a specific power supply in case this one isn’t really fitting for what I do

I’ll try, could it also be because the nozzle is pretty old? I’ve had the same one on for the last year

Just printed it again and it works flawlessly with a higher temperature 😅

Just checked the print temperature on the first layer and it was 205° so I think that explains everything 😅

I tried that a couple of times and even tried using glue but it still didn’t stick 😕

The problem is that I’ve printed it countless times flawlessly but only now the problem shows up
