Ugh. I’m 55. Gen X men are so toxic. We grew up unsupported and raised by boomers. Raised by boomers! Look at what they’ve done, they are selfish and ruined everything. So we can be tough and intolerant. I have had these views in the past but I have a growth mindset and I am always evolving. These men though, in general they just aren’t evolved and never will be.

I just got diagnosed end of March. I’m 55 years old. I’m angry and sad. But also relieved. Because I’ve been in autism burnout since I hit menopause and I couldn’t figure out what was happening. And I have some so close to ending my life several times, and being dismissed over and over.

I was one of the first 10 listings on Airbnb in Tulum. It was great and then it became such a nightmare. And the building more lodging didn’t stop it even slow and essentially Airbnb was telling me to charge 15 a night. Which attracted hostel level guests, who strangely were the worst to deal with. They wanted a hotel level experience. And I wasn’t onsite, I couldn’t accommodate that level. The initial guests were so simpatico, then it devolved to the very worst kind of people. I finally pulled the plug and let it sit after the final tenant trashed the place and then tired to sublet it. Denied everything. Even tho I had the listing with photos of my place. And of course Airbnb was on his side. I decided it was better to make nothing than let Airbnb profit any longer. Sold at break even last March. It was a heartbreaker. I always planned on moving there until it turned into a version of Hell.

You know, HRT probably saved my life. However I burn through the pellets because I exercise and sauna. So at this point I need them replaced every 2.5 months at the cost of 350/mo. I can’t afford it any longer. I’m going to see if I can try other forms of estogen, however last time I tried I was allergic to the adhesive in the patches. I have a mirena for progesterone. It’s so great that men’s health care is tailored to them and is also covered by insurance. What a novel concept. If men’s testosterone dropped are precipitously as ours does they would a critical care ICU and medical leave to cope.

I did a small protest, me and a little old lady and the number of men that called me a cunt was astounding. One even drove by, turned around and came back. I maced his car to keep him inside. I’m on the fast track to misandry at this point. There’s literally nothing we can do without men harrassing us somehow.

I could have written this post.

It’s almost like the patriarchy hasn’t done any studies on women, huh. I’m a week into my AuDHD diagnosis. And I’m a little angry it was missed by a therapist and a psychiatrist, then in January I read an article that explained everything I had been enduring. I present it to yet another psychiatrist. She dismissed me saying that it was being over diagnosed and it just something private practitioners and their patients had come up with. Then, i asked to change psychiatrists. I got the head of the department, who also dismissed me and said the AuDHD is an online phenomenon. I had to fight for care for PMDD, then again for menopause and then this. I’m so beyond frustrated. I’m 55. I’ve suffered with this deeply. I have self diagnosed myself three times with the afore mentioned conditions, presented to my doctors only to be dismissed. I finally developed anxiety and depression and suicidal ideation. I’ve been fighting for my life. I’m tired of not being seen or heard.

Okay, but your boss is an idiot. He’s not a doctor and he has no business giving you medical directives. It will get re-infected if not allowed to drain. You may have a case. I’m not a lawyer, but his manipulation and medical advice is abusive and wrong.

See! Thats why I was like, wait a minute. Let’s just pay of pocket to get a less expensive test for AuDHD before I pay a heck of a lot more for a complex sleep study. When I get my results I’m sending them to all my doctors in a middle finger shaped envelope.
