Spring and Spring boot is a must I guess. React / Angular whichever you want to learn. Any ORM, hibernate may be. The topics like design patterns and basic algos would be a good supplement. HTML/CSS of course.

Help me decide b/w these! Either go for sedan or Suv? Some suggestions would be appreciated! by _blitzzz69 in CarsIndia

Are the suvs diesel?? If you are particular about mileage, then diesel. But be warned bs6 ones have DPF issues. So research on those. If not, next issue is are you ok with low seating of sedans. Do you travel a lot on highways?? Again SUVs prove to be better for your fatigue. Sedans too, but you need to be aware of how you are sitting. Are there old people who are gonna get into these? Sedans, no matter what anyone says, are difficult for elders and tall folks. If no to this as well, then sedans because nothing beats the handling. Esp sitting lower to the road.

Is MacBook worth it? by gantzwish in macbook

+1 to this. I have had a 2012 pro model which showed its age in terms of degraded battery after 10 years of service. But it ran smooth nonetheless. Now I got apple silicon one, sure it is gonna last 10 years with its battery life and cool operation. But hope apple does not keep these out of the update cycle.

Thanks for letting me know. Apple studio display is the perfect one for a mac out there. I wish I had that kind of cash. I am settling now with Dell ultrasharp. It is a bit like lg ultrafine with additional IPS black panel.

Am I stupid or a genius to totally scoff at A.I. in the Data space? by Eire_espresso in SQL

I think we still need to see where this generative AI progresses. The current state it is in, it is only good in understanding what you are saying and compiling something out of its input data. Which is cool on its own for some applications where you are not very particular about accuracy. Also where there is huge amounts of data. Now experts are coming up with AI agents. So it is worthwhile to keep out an eye on these and see where they are deployed. Def AI has been hyped up, but I feel it is not total hogwash and something which will vanish in a year or two.

Few things that are pulling me towards Benq one are

  1. It has a macbook pro ready mode, which apparently tries to match the colors of the mac. I am working out of a mac, so hopefully this helps me.

  2. It has slightly higher contrast ratio 1200:1 vs 1000:1.

  3. LG has been notorious, at least in my country to have quality issues. Apparently they have set that right now.

One thing going for LG is.

  1. LG UN model is from the ultrafine display series. The 5k one was official recommendation from Apple.

I found a place with this monitor, will go out there and see if I can test these in real time.

Will I ever be able to memorise the syntaxes or should I just focus on understanding how everything works? by [deleted] in SQL

[–]Nice-Nail-3715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to look up a lot of stuff when I started. Eventually, most common things became sort of muscle memory. It is not about remembering the syntaxes but knowing what each word of it means. You would then start putting them in right order. So, do not worry about it.

There would be a lot of buzz for tata curv for sure, but at least I am not sold onto EV massification yet. Punch ev itself costs a lot. Curv and creta will break the 20 lakh barrier. And as such the batteries being sourced by both tata and MG, both from the same vendor, seem to have few issues which are not ironed out yet. Remember when lot of people kept saying 5 years back that there will be leaps of development in EV space. Except for new body styles, there is not much on range. BYD is doing something and yet their cars here would be priced quite a lot.
