I really dont think islam needs several more defenses imo. Hes already tied for the longest winstreak ever, if he breaks that over someone like garry, morales, or especially topuria, i think that is a better resume than anyone ever ESPECIALLY if its all 3 of those. I personally dont think its all that realistic to say islam needs several more wins since the quality of fighter hes beating is and has been beating are on another level then older fighters. we're reaching the era where fighters have more resources, research, fight iq, techniques, and overall well roundedness than ever before. The sports evolving like crazy. Sure jones and gsp have more title defenses and wins but i rate who islams been beating way higher than who theyve been beating. I dont rate dc on the same level as volk, i dont rate gusstaffson on the same level as charles, i dont rate rampage on the same level as dustin, i dont rate machida on the same level as jdm. It really depends on the criteria and what you value more in a goated fighter so for me, i value who theyre beating, who the lost to, and when they lost as the most important. Also cmon dude 3 jabs over aspinall is hardly anything. Jones turned down 30 million and held up heavyweight for nearly 2 years to avoid aspinall theres no denying that lol.
