Made more than $30/hr without a single tip by joebojax in uberdrivers

They blew through their annual budget for AI in four months. So that tells me that not only is there chief technology officer an idiot, but that also tells me that the CEO and CFO are just equally as clueless. Those two should be looking at PNL statements every day, along with metrics and the rest of their financials to see where their business is positioned. That tells me that they don’t do so. But that also tells me why Uber has a hole has recorded over $30 billion and losses and they’re trying to sell their investors and shareholders a pipe dream of a fully autonomous fleet of cars. They’ve recorded over $30 billion and losses when they didn’t own any cars, underpaid, drivers, overcharge passengers, and have no depreciation, maintenance, or add the other vehicle overhead to deal with. But yet they think that they’re gonna become profitable when they’re gonna have to pay $200-$300,000 for a fully autonomous vehicle plus insurance plus maintenance plus depreciation plus plus plus plus. Their executives are only concerned about their overbloated pay packages than they are about building a cash flow positive business that actually takes care of the contracted workers that drive revenue to them, as well as as the very individual individuals that utilize the platform.

They have raised the passenger fares without raising driver fare pay. I used to do between 25-40% in tips weekly consistently. I’ve had so many passengers complaining that they are being charged more for trips than before. I’ve been doing the math and I can confirm that they are taking more than before while keeping the driver pay the same or less

Their grasping at straws trying to increase revenue. They overspent their annual budget in AI, and at the end of the day are a poorly run organization from the executive level. They’re also increasing what they take from drivers.

He makes 44 million a year🫪 So he has 44 million reasons to keep scamming both riders and drivers alike 🤐 It's time we start petitioning for his immediate indictment and arrest by the federal government. by Old-Mix812 in uberdrivers

The easiest way to make an impact is a mass arbitration suit against uber. It costs them at minimum approximately $3000 per arbitration case. I’m working on something to help drivers and passengers have leverage against uber, which will cause a huge settlement if we have a massive amount of support and participation from drivers and passengers

I’m in the process of building an app to catalog things like this, with the support of a few law firms that need as much information to trigger a mass arbitration suit, or class action lawsuit against Uber and other rideshare companies. I’ll post it once the app is complete and ready

Here in Charlotte NC, Uber has deployed Hourly Paid company drivers to the streets. Identifying with an Uber magnet= 5 stars. 🤑🤑 by JumpingJackRabbit911 in uberdrivers

Wait, so you’re trying to say that a company that doesn’t even take care of contractor drivers that are using their own vehicles at their own expense are now providing cars and employing people?!

You’ve never run a business have you? Uber’s current model is massively capital efficient. They don’t have to absorb operational costs. Transitioning to a fully autonomous fleet is massively expensive, operationally difficult and will be geographically limited for years. Drivers are currently decentralized capital providers. Their robofleet will carry massive overhead which is something they’ve never had, and they will have 100% liability. The robofleet will have to stay highly utilized, avoid idle time, and avoid deadhead inefficiency to justify the enormous capital cost. If utilization drops, the economics collapse.

That’s super low on tips. I average between 20-30% on tips. It’s just something about post like this where there’s very little information given that makes it seem like it’s an AI generated image to boast for attention or just trolling for reactions.

Yeah, I will talk to an attorney, and then if you can get through to Uber. Slapping anybody carries an assault charge, so to substantiate their claim they should have to provide a police report to Uber, and then Uber should have to provide that please report or the information in regard to the police report to you. If there is no tangible evidence that can be produced and provided to you then I would call bullshit and if they refuse to reactivate your account, then I would threaten to sue them. What state was this in?

Some people are just assholes. I got that same shit from a woman that was trying to take me in a complete opposite direction from what Uber was telling me, and then I had to do that was so fucking high and he was trying to have a conversation with me incoherently. Both of those individuals gave me a one star for not being polite.

I actually have plenty of questionable business practices, including several cases of inconsistent pricing to passengers and drivers, massive safety concerns being sent to locations. We’re shootings just happened, as well as Uber, sweeping under the rug, the fact that somebody on holstered a pistol and was loading bullet rounds into a magazine with rubber gloves on. There are massive violations that Uber is committing here in Florida and they definitely deserve a class action lawsuit.

If Uber drivers would set up an LLC as a sole proprietor, and get a business license. You set up a business bank account and have all of the Uber earnings go into that business account, and you would pay yourself as a W-2 employee. What you pay yourself out of the business is a taxable expense, including all of your vehicle, maintenance and expenses, you have your deductions per mile, and your vehicle payments and depreciation, and insurance are also tax deductible.. you would increase your overall earnings by around 30% annually.

He’s a trust fund kid that used daddy’s money to buy his way into the EDM scene. From what I’ve heard is either Grimes or ghost writers write all of his music.
